I was excited to go taste the food at Taphouse, and the staffing said that the owner was from Montreal. I ordered a Montreal smoked meat and a Poutine. What was upsetting, was how their smoke meat was so far away from what a Montreal smoked meat is. They had dry meat and some odd bread. A Montreal smoked meat is a kind of Pastrami, not a dry piece of meat. The Poutine was not good because they put a bunch of herbs on top. The owner should go back to Montreal and have a smoked meat at Schwartz.

The Tap House has a great atmosphere one of the best in the area and have loved coming here with friends for a drink. it’s an easy place to just hangout and vibe. The food quality has gone down over the years though and is usually hit or miss, which is unfortunate since they had a great burger and fries but they don’t have the same wow factor really as much. Some of the servers are fantastic and do a great job and really make the experience better and they do it with a smile on their face too which is nice to see. Management needs better customer service skills though because I ordered a large takeout order one time which included a Buffalo chicken flatbread. When I looked, it was just plain cheese so they offered to remake it and when they did it barely barely had any chicken which was under the cheese and I usually hate sounding like I’m complaining but I asked if they could just give me more chicken on the side and the manager at the time opened the box to look inside and pointed out that it’s under the cheese but that’s not something you do to a customer and there still wasn’t enough chicken regardless
