Brussels sprouts. Enough said. Get them. Put them in your mouth. Have your tastebuds explode with joy. Profit? 🤔

If you hate joy (and delicious food) then definitely don't go to Lakehouse Tavern.

Good food, I haven't had a bad experience thus far, better than most restaurants in the area.

Horrible service. Slow service. After 30 minutes of ordering, the server comes to inform us that main dishes are not available for lunch even though there was no mention of that on menu. We ended up wasting a lot of time. Staff does not seem to happy working here or serving customers. Won’t come back.

Food was ok, the servers were angry or scared hard to tell. Manager was micromanageing and not helping in a busy armosphere. the one move thing was the bartenders knew their craft. Drinks were great!

My wife and I decided to try this spot for lunch. We walked in with our two young children and waited to be seated at the empty host stand. Three people pass us doing their best not to acknowledge us before a fourth finally comes down to greet us. She asks if we have a reservation, which we did not, and tells us we'll have to wait. After waiting about 10 minutes to see no more than one couple exit, and be walked in past about 5 empty clean tables, it began to feel like we waited simply because we didn't make a reservation. Also deck seating was not even offered. Another 5-6 minutes before our drink orders were taken, and when they were delivered she did not offer take our order. Came back maybe 10 minutes later (into the whole experience about 30 minutes now). Wait somewhere around another 40 minutes with not a word from the staff until we have to call over to the bar to have them check for our food that had clearly been sitting under the heat lamps. Food was actually decent, certainly would've been better if it was fresh. No acknowledgement or apology for the wait, but now that she could tell we were upset she deliberately avoided any further interaction. Maybe if you don't have kids, make a reservation, or are a Hopkinton local you'll have a different experience, but checking reviews I see we're not the only people to have had this experience.

Great food! The Greek Platter - wanted more. ?
Lovely seating outside looking over the lake.
Love the historic building.
Maybe a little of it's history in the menu?

Fair warning to any of my friends interested in eating at the Lakehouse Tavern. Worst dining experience I have ever had. We arrived at the restaurant at about 1:30 pm. We waited in the waiting area for about 10 minutes before someone would even acknowledge us. When finally greeted the hostess ROLLED HER EYES when we said we did not have a reservation. Mind you I had looked at their website online before hand and making a reservation was not required. We waited another 5 or so minutes to be sat. I work in a restaurant I fully understand having to wait for a table is a fairly common. Once sat me, my husband and my 2 kids were sat directly in front of the window unit air conditioner that was on full blast. We waited at our table at least 10 minutes before being greeted and and 20 minutes after that to even place our order. We then waited another 45 minutes for our food with absolutely no acknowledgement of us what so ever. A server never checked back, asked if we needed or mentioned anything to us about our food. IN FACT they deliberately avoided us anytime I looked at them to get some service. I had to break my own feelings about how it is appropriate to act in a restaurant and had to YELL over the bar to the staff to ask about our food. We finally received our food that was basically thrown at us, no one ever checked back to see how the meal was. We had made it very clear we were unhappy with the service and NO ONE offered to send over anyone to help, not a manager, NOTHING. I will absolutely never be returning to this establishment. Upon other research and reviews online this is a standard practice for this place. If you are not a regular customer they do not care about your experience. So disappointing because the food actually was pretty decent. I highly suggest hiring more attentive bartenders who actually enjoy doing there job. Also, you have a dead bird in your coy fish pond!
