Had a burger, salads and chicken that were very good, and reasonable prices. A cute place to stop off at driving to VT, not too far off 89. Waitstaff was kind and efficient.

We came in at 330pm to a mostly empty restaurant. Seated quick and right by the river and bridge we had a great view to enjoy a meal by. It's not Venice Italy but it's pretty solid. Lady had the Reuben and I had the Mediterranean pasta. Both great. Groovy fries weren't anything special and could've skipped em for the appetizer. Go with dumplings instead. Bathrooms clean and awesome wait staff. Parking I can imagine being an issue when it's packed so heads up.

Driving around and stumbled on this little treasure. It is located across the street from the covered bridge. Food was excellent. Nice assortment on the menu very fairly priced. Everything was fresh. We can recommend the chicken quesadilla, the french onion soup, the sandwiches and the kids grilled cheese with fresh cut home made real fries

We just moved to the area in July. This is our new favorite place. Great food, great menu variety, and love the staff. Great area as well.

Very disappointed with today’s visit. We have gone here for years following apple picking at Gould’s and during my last pregnancy often to satisfy cravings. We’ve never had a single issue. Today the service was slow despite only having 2-3 tables. It took maybe 45 minutes to get apps and a kids meal. The food wasn’t great. Nachos were soggy and chewy so we politely sent back after only eating 2-3 chips. The bill came and I said they forgot to take off the nachos we sent back. The manager was very rude. Shaking her head and snatching my card from me. She told me she would not comp for food that we chose not to eat. They were not edible. Literally sitting in a puddle of “lime and cilantro oil” (which wasn’t even described on the menu) making them chewy and soggy. I had no issue paying for what we did eat; which still wasn’t great, but we waited so long and my 1 & 3 year old were hungry. She kept arguing with me in front of other customers. This was unprofessional on her part and poor customer service. I’m sure they must be under new management as we’ve never been treated like this before. We will not be back here. The manager appeared young and obviously lacks the maturity to hold such a position. I’m hoping the owners can get her some proper training in customer service as she was very polite before we had to send something back.

We had a fantastic lunch here today. We both had the Quinua tacos from the specials. They were amazing. If they were on the main menu it would be a must do weekly for this vegetarian....my bro who is not loved them as well. A great addition in any case. Our waitress Reeghan was fantastic as well, super cheery fun and on it. Had to write a review it was all so yummy...the perfect lunch.

This is normally one of my favorite places but every time we go the service is so slow were there for 1.5 hours. Today we went and we got all our food without even having silverwear or plates. Our food was cold and we waited forever for drinks. We are normally so payient but it seems to be a commin occurance and we have decided to take a break from coming back quickly. We hope things look up for your buisness. We will be back in a few months to try again.

Soggy nachos, waitress said that’s how they are served. Refused to take them off the bill, only discount them. Threatened to call the police because we refused to pay for the nachos(were willing to pay for other items ordered). Waited it out and they took the nachos off the bill.

I couldn't believe how busy this place was at 2:30 on a Sunday. One would think that it's a slow time. After striking out at other places on the way home from a trip to VT back to NH, we decided to keep lookin' & came across the Contoocook Covered Bridge Restaurant. We gave a quick call-ahead & they said it was probably a 5-minute wait. It sure was better than waits at other places that were close to an hour or more! It's certainly a family-owned, easygoing restaurant with a little something for everyone. Our waitress, whom I did not get the name of, was dealing with (3) large parties of customers so it did take her a little while to get to our table after we were seated. But once she said "I will be right with you" & appeared, she was quick to bring us our drinks & to take our orders. She was also completely professional & possibly the floor manager because she was mainting herself very professionally even when the phone kept ringing off the hook, tables needed bussing & there seemed to be endless requests for things from everyone dining there. She checked on us on a regular basis & was pinging all over! She must go home so tired at night. They do have a full bar, but you must ask for the menu. The beer selection is mostly bottled with (3) options on draft (IPA's & Budweiser). The pricing was moderate & nothing out of sight. My fiance enjoyed the chicken broccoli alfredo; I had taken a bite, as well & it was good. I decided to have an appetizer of potato skins & a garden salad. We were given boxes right away when asked, as we couldn't finish our meals. Our waitress even asked if I wanted to take more sour cream (served in plastic to-go containers) which I declined, but thanked her for asking. It was a lot like any other place I have gone that's similar to this restaurant. No complaints, just simple food. It took about 35-40 mins for the food to come out, but again, there were a couple large parties & only (2) waitresses. I have always been a patient person & extremely understanding. I give a lot of praise to the employees there, as a couple of them were well past retirement age & still working!

We had an amazing lunch here. I started with the onion soup and it was so good my husband had the dumplings and he loved them !!! we had the chicken cordon mac and cheese and it was the best mac and cheese dish i have ever had. I did see coconut chicken come out of the kitchen and that also looked amazing so i will try it next time :) Our server was amazing as well. I also thought the prices were great !!!!

Food was fine. Service took forever though. The server kept apologizing for how slow it was because it was so busy. Like we didn't have eyes to see that it was in fact NOT busy.
