Two dinners in a role during a stay at the Wentworth. Fantastic food, service and ambiance. We wound up trying nearly everything on the menu over our two nights and there wasn't a bad item to be had. We recommend highly!
Everything was great, but the restaurant should not offer seatings at 10:30 and 11:00 AM for breakfast. Everyone was trying to clean up, there wasn't much food left, and we felt rushed.
Made the reservation and then on arrival was told the outside seating area we specifically reserved was closed and there was no other available seating. Basically we didn't have dinner. Very unhappy with the rude staff and the fact that our reservation was no honored and no other option provided!
Absolutely the BEST OF THE BEST!!! The most accommodating for any needed stay away from home. My Husband and I fell in love all over again after our first night there. Breakfast is a pleasant experience always fresh and delicious. Entire place is white glove clean !!! So welcoming and friendly we instantly relaxed and stepped out of life to enjoy our Love and marriage. We keep coming back every time we want to peacefully connect and celebrate Us and our beautiful life we have built together
We had a wonderful dining experience at the Wentworth this past Tuesday during our vacation in Jackson, NH! The food was outstanding! Our server, Giri, sp? was fabulous! He was very attentive and yet not intrusive. He was also VERY pleasant! I wish I had gotten the name of the hostess since she, too was lovely and very personable. We have been to the Wentworth several times over the years we have been vacationing there. We did have a not so pleasant experience last year and the Wentworth was kind enough to respond to our issues and asked us to give them another chance. Well we did not hesitate at all! I HIGHLY recommend this restaurant for its food, its, staff and its ambience! THANK YOU WENTWORTH!
We did the meal plan which basically is included in the price of the room. You're able to choose two apps in entree and dessert. The only thing that would not be included in that is if you choose an alcoholic beverage. So we started off with the shrimp cocktail which is very good nice succulent large shrimp. We then both had salads I had the Caesar Richard had the wedge. Again both are very good the only thing I would say is keep an eye on the romaine lettuce I definitely had some brown on the romaine lettuce you need to make sure you peel off some of those outer leaves. Also with the romaine we're in the food industry so this is something we know as well too. You need to chop off the ends of the romaine stalks otherwise you're eating some really really tough lettuce. Richard also had the soup which was excellent it was a poblano bisque. Both sweet and a little spicy. For our mains Richard had the boneless pork chop which was excellent very tender, very moist. Pork has the habit of drying out and this was not dry at all this is really nice and succulent. I had the prime rib which usually has a pretty good fat cap on it overall it was good I normally don't get prime rib but the slow braised short rib was not on the menu this time I think that's more of a winter time item. Overall it was medium rare which is very nice and it was very tasty and not too fatty. For dessert Richard had the Apple Gateau, I had the Calabaut chocolate brownie, which was excellent as well. Overall a very good meal which I highly recommend.
Our experience this time around was not as favorable. Seems like the menu changed from when we were there in the winter - could be a seasonal thing - but would be nice to have more options. The plates they offered seemed lack luster too - Grilled Pork Chop on a small bed of spinach with Tortilla chips and salsa. The chips was just odd. Food was cooked and seasoned well, the 3 stars are due to offerings.
Apps were good. Korean ribs and Brussels. Entrees were the duck which was very dry and honestly just flavorless. My date had the salmon which was dry and just nothing special. Bread was delicious and the desserts were decent. Wouldn't come back.
The first time I went to the Wentworth was 1995. It was a fantastic resort and experience. We have been there 8 times ever since. This was the first time since Fritz or his family owned the Wentworth. To say the food and experience was disappointing is an understatement. The death of an iconic location is sad to experience. We experienced this place from its pinnacle to its nadir. Very sad.
Service was not great. 2 of the drinks I asked for (Cabernet on the menu, pear martini) they did not have and could not make. I ordered the pork chop, presentation was nice but the meat was dry. Ambience was boring and not up to par. The bread that was served was dry and old. I would never come back here again.

The food here is only ok. My wok charred Brussels sprouts were absolutely raw and rock hard. The duck special was dry as a bone. My husband had the chicken which was good, and the soup which he liked. The service was friendly and good.
We have been coming up to the North Conway area on vacation for years and finally tried The Wentworth last night for the first time. It was an amazing experience and we will definitely make a point to stop there for dinner every time we come back up to the White Mountains! The food was fabulous and the service was too. The restaurant has a great atmosphere and I highly recommend it. Thank you especially to our server Mitch, who was so kind, professional, and prompt!
Excellent service; professional waitstaff, very attentive. Outstanding food from top to bottom; , bread, appetizer entree, dessert very good. Comfortable atmosphere, although dinning room was not full. (noise level). Expensive no doubt. Negative reviews are from snobs only in my opinion.
The food and service was fantastic. Mitch, our server, was amazing as he was the sole server for the whole main dining room. On a Friday night there were only 5 tables occupied which was sad to see. The noise of a function going on outside was overwhelming.
We stayed at the Wentworth Inn - our second time - which is lovely. The restaurant has a limited menu but there is something for everyone. They offer daily "chef's creation" as well. Our steak was cooked perfectly, service was amazing and we received complementary champagne for our anniversary. Great atmosphere and quiet!
