went to the tavern for black mountains employee party, the food is amazing. the staff is awesome and sweet. they even had an amazing band playing. the itialian buffet was so yummy 😋

Great food and drinks. The BEST New England Haddock Chowder. Rooms at the Inn could use some updating but are clean and comfy. Only issue is if your room is on the 3rd floor you have to haul your luggage up stairs. Our room was heated with a gas wood stove which kept the room warm but very dry. We had to buy a pot to put water in and sit on the stove to help with the dryness. This is an older rustic place and very traditional to the area so keep that in mind when booking. There is no mini fridge, microwave or coffee in the room. However, coffee and tea are always available down in the restaurant for guests. Loved our stay while there and the food was delicious.

Hidden treasure taking you back in time when things were simple...love this Inn and the quaint little town. Tons of character in such an easy to get to spot... gotta check it out if you love the charm of a time long gone.. The entertainment is great as well.

Had a delicious meal in this tavern, but it was negative that more than 17 dollars of gratitude/tip was automatically added to the bill. I want to be able to decide this myself as a guest. So be aware of this as a future guest. Because this falls under the service, I only gave it 1 star, although the service from the waitress was good.

Parking: As a guest staying there I shouldn't have to plan my days activities to be back early enough to get a parking spot. There should be a parking spot behind the Inn reserved for each room there is.

Went early to listen to live music before trivia night. Told the waitress we were there for the duration and asked her to pace out our service... we were not in a rush. After eating appetizers and dinner (3 hours) in the middle of trivia, the bartender notified us that he could no longer serve our table due to a maximum per person limit. 3 of us were drinking our third drink when notified. We left immediately with our unfinished drinks on the table as we no longer felt welcomed. I've never heard of such a policy at a bar/restaurant. We were walking distance to our hotel and mentioned to our waitress that we were visiting the area when we were first seated. She was very attentive but never mentioned the maximum drink policy, knowing we had planned to be there for the entertainment and trivia.

Very friendly, relaxed atmosphere with excellent food. The seared salmon was the best I've ever tasted.
We just had a wonderful meal with a large group of friends and family and it was incredible! We had great service, a great dining space, and most importantly, really fine food. The food was beautifully presented, large portions, hot and delicious. Thank you to the chef and staff for an enjoyable, relaxing meal.
