My wife and I both had an great (and delicious) experience at the Optimist Cafe. It was a warm and friendly place to setup our laptops for a couple hours well enjoying high quality food and coffees on a cold winter's day. The staff was equally warm and inviting. We will be back!

Friendly, casual restaurant. You order and pick up at the counter. The food is tasty, and the desserts are epic.

First time experiencing this place. Met a friend for breakfast and had an excellent time! From the very beginning talking with women taking our order I could tell this place had an excellent vibe. I love breakfast and usually just settle for the norm. This was not what we got! The food was amazing!

Can’t recommend enough! When I first heard about the Optimist opening, I was excited because there are 0 good coffee shops around here. (Dunks does NOT count) The coffee and atmosphere are great, just what I hoped for, but I’ve been BLOWN AWAY by the food.

I usually go in for a latte or bagel sandwich, but the specials have looked great lately - I had to start splurging. No regrets. I had goat cheese and rosemary crepes the other day and I’m still thinking about them.

I used to live in NYC and had access to incredible food and coffee 24/7….I miss it ….but at least the Optimist is keeping me sane!

sat at a table with a view to deck and distance. chilly day. several patrons coming in/ out and passing. our table
Slider door to deck was not closed by any patrons as it was extremely heavy . as I kept getting up to try to close and stay warm the staff thanked
Strong suggestion. Change the door to one that swings on hinges. Remove the eating table now. Found food to be so so but that is subjective. location is worth saving and growing the cafe.

The name attracted me to this place and I'm glad I went out of my way to visit. Excellent food and beverages in a warm, comfortable and unique setting. What a lineup of sweet treats! Friendly and fast service, too. If you're hiking Mt. Monadnock, make sure to stop by here afterwards to reward yourself for the effort.
