Connie is the best and the daily menu and buffet always exceed my expectations. Whether you're vegan or not, I think you'd absolutely love this place and the people there. Country Life is easily my go-to spot for lunch.

Really tasty food. Some good choices for the market. A nice buffet selection. Prices are pretty good! Some really good vegan food. There's a long table and when I was there it was basically full and kind of loud, but I did notice by the buffet there was a more secluded table. I had the bean burrito and it was tasty. Give it a try!

Their homemade ice cream is amazing! Food was fairly priced and tastes wonderful. Very comfortable and low-key atmosphere.

Food is tasty. Winning dish was the vegetable medley with fresh, colorful veggies and herbs. The salad bar had several types of sprouts, fermented food, homemade dressing, and everything was fresh. Splurged on the carob pie dessert which was excellent even if the crust was a little soggy. There is falafel and sandwiches available. Take out is easy. Prices are reasonable for setting and food quality (everything is expensive anymore) but I got a healthy, satisfying lunch and dessert for about $15. Would be an easy way to introduce someone to healthier, more vegetable heavy choices.Vegetarian options: Everything is vegan.Kid-friendliness: Casual atmosphere. Lots of options that taste good.Dietary restrictions: No egg.No dairy. No meat/fish.Some nuts/seeds, soy, gluten. Which I see as a good thing.

My cousin and I got there just as they were opening, so the hot bar wasn’t ready yet. We relaxed with a bowl of soup and waited. Well worth the wait! The couple working/owners were so kind and accommodating. The food smelled amazing and tasted even better. Fresh, quality ingredients and you could tell made with Love!! Will make this a regular stop!

The women that work here are so kind, the food is delicious and affordable, and there’s always a salad bar if you want fresh. The desserts are fantastic, and the fruit bars are worth taking home.I’ve never shopped in their mini grocery, but there are some foods unique to the vegan kitchen for sale as well.

If you aren’t vegan, this place is worth a shot.

I'd been wanting to take my folks here for a while, but as Country Life isn't open in the evenings or on weekends, there hadn't yet been been a good opportunity across their occasional visits to Keene. Lo and behold, Country Life puts on an annual Thanksgiving dinner, gratis, for the community. My folks would be in town that Tuesday evening, which meant finally a chance for them to try the food here (which I'm lucky enough to be acquainted with from living *across the street* — as well as with the likable couple who help run the place, Connie and Barry). Well, I figured they would open up their lunch buffet bar in the evening as their community meal (which would be a solid gift to the city, cuz the food here is great). Instead, they cooked up a massive feast of Thanksgiving foods, which maybe didn't surprise anyone else, but my reaction was "whoa." I haven't had a Thanksgiving feast like this since I quit eating meat over 15 years ago — tofurkey to stuffing to green beans to squash to rolls to cranberry sauce to pumpkin pie. It was unreal. And the place was jam packed, people sitting family-style, nearly every seat at every table taken, lots of folks standing around, live music — the evening was downright magical and an order of magnitude beyond what I expected. The work that went into this event for zero revenue is jaw-dropping, and the spread of food was beyond plentiful — you weren't worried about going back for seconds, thirds, and if I could have, I would have eaten enough to last me a full week of sustenance, since this food is so vastly superior to what I cook on a regular basis there's no comparison. But what astounded me even more than the gourmet spread was the spirit of the people making it happen. From prior chats, I was already a fan of Connie and Barry, and it touched my heart that Connie, in midst of the busiest that this restaurant gets all year, came over to introduce herself to my folks and chat with us for several minutes. We were also greeted with remarkable warmth by the bright daughter and son-in-law of Country Life's owner, and I ended up getting the chance to chat with a few other friendly folks who had jumped in to make this happen — and everyone treated us like royalty. For coming in to eat their food without even paying — what?! The Country Life team went out of their way to make us feel welcome and valued, which made this jam-packed place radiant with the sort of warm vibes that are often hard to find at *family* holiday gatherings; the tone set by personalities like Connie's made the night feel not like going out to a restaurant at all, but rather like being invited to the holiday extravaganza of the year. I've been to vegan restaurants in a dozen cities, and have experienced nothing like this. And I want this indelible memory to be the heart of my review because my experience captures the ethos of County Life as something beyond a commercial enterprise. I'm a frugal dude but I would have paid $25 per person for this buffet. (And their prices for a regular weekday lunch are definitely not gouging prices; these are folks on a mission for community health.) But the heart of this place — ya can't buy it.

So, while I have never visited Country Life in person, I did pick up a Gluten Free Raspberry bar from Apothica Flower & Tea in Goffstown and it was absolutely delicious! I hope to visit Country Life Restaurant soon and write a full review.

My life would be empty without Country Life in Keene, NH. There are no other vegan options in the immediate area and I love the foods and service provided. The staff members have become my friends as well. The attention and work put into the daily preparations is exemplary!

Great food and variety for herbs, tinctures and natural products.

I have been to Country Life restaurants in many locales, and love them. Though they are run by a church, there is no proselytizing, and the food is always natural and good. This branch is small, with nice seating. Unfortunately, since Covid, they have stopped having their buffets—a highlight of the other branches of Country Life that I have visited (this branch does have a—rather meager—salad bar, however). I got a vegan burger to go; it was quite good—though not as good as their buffets of yore—and healthy. Note: the food of the restaurant is all natural and vegan. However, in the store attached to the restaurant, they do sell honey. Updated from previous review on 2022-07-26
