I ordered seafood bisque to go for my husband who just had surgery as his diet is limited. It's a half hour drive to the restaurant. I get home and I have some spicy chicken jalapeno soup crap. It was too late to go back. Do they even check their to go orders. I'm mad as hell! I called and they said they would refund me. Big deal!! What about the gas money, lack of dinner and their bad attitude!!
Keene, New Hampshire. A town known for rowdy college blowouts and an obsession with pumpkins that borders on cult-like. It’s not the place you’d expect to find a brewery serving margarita flights that make you question your passport status — but here we are.
Elm Brewery is a refuge. A brick-and-wood sanctuary where good beer flows and the lighting makes everyone look 15% more interesting. The ale? It's the kind of stuff that makes you want to storm into a boardroom and shout, “Bottle this now, you cowards.” It's damn good — smooth, flavorful, like it was brewed with actual pride and a touch of rebellion.
The food is comfort with a capital “C.” I ordered the beef stroganoff — and yes, it came with meatballs. Not traditional, but I’m not mad about it. Creamy, rich, a little indulgent — like something your Eastern European grandma would make if she smoked weed and listened to Metallica.
My brother made the tactical error of ordering the cheesesteak, which he didn’t love. (You go to a brewery in New Hampshire and expect Philly-level cheesesteak? Rookie move.) But the fried mushrooms and spinach artichoke dip? Beautiful. Golden-fried perfection and gooey, cheesy goodness. The kind of bar snacks that keep you from ever leaving.
And then there were the margarita flights. Four mini glasses of pure tropical escapism. Lime, spice, maybe even some fruit you can't pronounce — it was like a Cancun beach party in a snow globe. Weirdly magical.
The staff? On point. Friendly without being fake. The kind of people who look you in the eye, know their menu, and don’t mind a weird question or two.
Elm Brewery isn’t trying to be trendy. It’s not chasing hashtags or TikTok fame. It’s just doing its thing — and doing it well. If you're in Keene and need a break from pumpkin mobs or college-town chaos, this is your place. Grab a seat, order a beer, and enjoy the ride.
Stopped by for lunch on our way thru. Really nice dog friendly patio. Our server was great. Food was great and solid beers.
ECB is the OG brewery in the region. They have the really delicious buffalo chicken wings and the Keene Kolsh is so good. Great atmosphere and the BBQ and Bacon cheeseburger is always great. Can’t believe they’ve been around for 30 years now but it makes sense given the quality and consistency of their menu.
Great value for the money
We were so excited to come to experience the hot spot of Keene. I wish the waitress didn't forget about us, them forgot our order, and never even asked how we were doing. I was sad over how extremely bland food was. I appreciate dishes without much flavor cus of stomach issues but the pork schnitzel was extremely bland. From the egg noodles, vegetables and even the pork itself- they all tasted the same- like nothing. It was quite incredible I've never had so much on my dish taste like absolutely nothing. My friend ordered the smash? burger- took two bites and didn't eat another bite because that was also bland. It definitely was not worth the 30 minute wait to be seated and the 15 min wait for the waitress to come back to us because she forgot our order and the 45 min wait for the worst food I've tasted this year. If the service was friendly and kind it would definitely be less upsetting. Our pretzel also tasted burnt
Elm City Brewing Company Brewpub in Keene, NH for a few pours & a badass burger. The third stop in this Keene trip (another coming sooner than later to finish off the area) & the perfect place to put some food in our holes after two previous breweries before. The last time I was here was in late 2022 & I remember having a flight+ & some excellent chili so I was excited to order my usual burger to try at any spot I hit. The place was packed & our party of three were told it would be a 20min wait, but we got sat in only a few minutes so I got to the beer immediately. 🍻🍺🔥🤷♂️
I started off with a pint of the CITRUS LAGER American Lager that was just on the average side, but still good. The second pint I got was the 222 WEST American Pale Ale that again was good, but nothing super special. The third pour was the winner in the SHAKE THE FROST Belgian Dubbel 🏆 that was excellent & layered with some great f**king flavor. 🍻☘✌♥️🍺
All the seating options here with bar, hightops, tables & rail including a decently large patio area outside. The service was excellent regardless of how busy it was & that Blues Burger I got medium rare was excellent. It was especially good with more blue cheese on top of those carmelized onions & sweet potato fries since I was feeling extraordinary gluttonous having the beer day I did. They do crowlers & growlers to go if you want anything for a tasting with friends or at home for yourself. Great spot to stop for food in Keene if you're doing a brewery tour of the area for sure! 🍻🍺💪☘🔥✌♥️🍺

I have been coming here for over a decade (hour drive away) for the great food (onion rings, maple balsamic dressing, grilled cheese & tomato sandwich, etc.) only to find the menu just changed and has dropped most of the items me and my friends enjoyed with the beer. The only items left is stuff you can find anywhere and is very limited selection.
I hope the old menu comes back, otherwise this place will loose a lot of their patrons when they see the reduced menu and just become another general pub.

Used to be one of my families go to places. Don't know what happened but the menu changed for the worse and along with that so did the food quality. Big disappointment but unless they change back I'll be warning others not to go anymore.

I was very disappointed visiting here after being away for 3 years. I've been going to this restaurant for years now. They took the onion rings off the menu, along with my favorite salalsd and the maple dressing. It was a challenge to find a vegan meal. I will not be visiting this place the next time I come to the area.

Very disappointed that they discontinued having onion rings available on the menu. Also, they took several good vegetarian dishes away, including the vegetarian burger.
Vegetarian options: The new menu has taken many vegetarian options off of their menu

We sat at the bar and had lunch with a Grosch beer. The taco salad was big enough for two and so delicious. Love seeing all of the brewery equipment through the glass! Will be back. The bartender was fantastic.

I went to KSC many, many moons ago and never knew this place existed. I went today for the first time and had a great time. It has a nice vibe inside, it reminds me of an old mill. I had two Peachy Keene beers which were delicious. Lunch was a grilled chicken sandwich with bacon and cheese, delicious.
Service was great, the food and beer was delicious, and affordable. My entire bill with tip was $40. I will be returning.
