Outstanding bread and pastries. However, they frequently run out of items by mid-morning, which is disappointing.
DO NOT USE ONLINE ORDERING UNLESS YOU WANT YOUR MONEY STOLEN!!
Typically I love coming to Fire Dog Breads every weekend. However, last Saturday when I arrived to pick up my mobile order (placed the evening prior), I was informed that there was an inventory issue and one of the items I ordered was not available. The worker stated that she would refund me for that particular item and I should receive my money back by the next day. I still have yet to get my money back for an item I never received due to an issue on their end. I am deeply disappointed and frustrated that I drove 30 minutes to not only not receive the pastry I was craving but also to have paid for it and not be refunded. Please do better
Really great bakery — didn’t know about them until recently as they are tucked far back in the corner of the plaza. They offer fresh baked breads, pastries, espresso style coffee drinks, and even some sandwiches for lunch.
This place is a total gem! We are so lucky to have them in our community, their selection of European pastries and breads are fantastic and special!
Very good food
Incredible food. Pastries, sandwiches, baguettes- really you can’t go wrong.

I was dying for a Cuban and discovered this hidden gem. absolutely the best Cuban I've had since leaving Key West. I will be back to try the rest of the menu weekly.
counter help was very pleasant and a ray of sunshine on a gray day

I love Fire Dog! The food is always amazing, whether it's the sandwiches, pastries, or breads. My favorite is the tahini-sumac bialys, and my husband loves the gibassiers, but we're both big fans of the hazelnut schneckens, and you can't go wrong with a classic baguette.
I've also taken a class here, and that was a really informative and engaging weekend afternoon, plus I came home with tons of goodies.
This is the kind of place that you just want to come back to, because there's always something new to try!

The bread and pastries are really good, but $7.50 for *half* a loaf of bread? You can get bread that's just as good at the farmer's market for $6.50, whole loaf

This is the most wonderful bakery I have experienced in years. Fire dog breads, pastries, and sandwiches are definitely the most delicious and honest I’ve had in this area (and further from home). So many bakeries focus on volume and visual effects but do not have the skills to produce truly delicious artisan goods…Fire Dog possesses those skills, a commitment to sourcing as healthily and as locally as possible, and the artistic sensibility to create true artisan foods. For those who might be outside of the Keene area it is definitely worth the drive. Folks in my immediate area are always asking about fresh breads and pastries, and while family responsibilities prevent my taking the drive for now, I would go every week if I could and I highly recommend them.
I look forward to having lunch in Keene, as it means stopping at this gem of a place. The bread is sooo good, it has the thick crunchy crust you typically find at a bakery in Europe. To die for!My go to is the tandoori sandwich and i always get an espresso, and the baguette to go.Id love to see proscuitto and mozzarella with arugula as an option
