I am an Irish citizen on exchange semester abroad, I am 21, and have gone to every pub in Keene so far, when I went to kilkennys a supposedly Irish bar, they said my drivers licence was not acceptable as it was not issued in the United States, which I found both discriminatory, and arbitrary. I would not recommend this bar to any international students or tourist visiting Keene.

My friend went in there with her fake ID last year and they took it behind the bar to scan it and “call it in”, they came back and said it was a real ID. They even apologized and gave her a free drink :) 10/10 customer service
They replied and said I’m lying! Multiple witnesses would beg to differ, I guess they just took it out back and gave it a “real good look” before telling her it was real :) They must not be bothering to check suspected fakes at all, even better! I also have time-stamped pictures and videos of her drinking underage at Kilkenny’s as well as screenshots of the bartender’s girlfriend charging her $50 for drinking as a minor ? Best place to go if you’re underage, but they might stop serving you when you turn 21, they love serving alcohol to teenage girls

Over charge drinks, make sure to count your change, visually check your food and drink for mold, and don't use your phone as the DD cause they will kick you out.
Went in a few times, usually fine however as one of the only young people there the staff definitely treated us much ruder and disrespectful compared to the older customers, one bouncer was chill however one of the bouncers was being super rude. However, the drinks and games of pools were a good price.

Nothing bad to say about the service or bar, but a note on the demographics - be aware this isn't the place for a single guy to go. I counted 4 women to 21 men on the way out and they were all there with someone. Not good or bad I guess, just informational to hopefully save someone else's time if they were in my shoes.
