I have been here several times before with good service; however this time after waiting 45 minutes plus for a table for 7 we left to go elsewhere. The hostess had our name and repeatedly kept taking other parties before ours. It was cold/raining out. The hostess seemed very anxious and inexperienced. She kept saying she was waiting for tables to open up, but kept seating other larger parties before us. Won’t return.

We use to love Lindy's and decided to stop in with the new ownership since we hard they had chicken and waffles. Firstly, we sat at the counter. It wasn't overly busy, several empty tables inside. Our waitress took our drink and order and then brought our coffee (3.00) plopped it down and walked away. At this point we had no silverware so we had to wait for the waitress to return 10 minutes later and ask for some. She then took our order. My husband wanted the chicken and waffles ( 18.00), he was offered Honey on top for 2.00 extra. Of course he agreed. I ordered a Greek Scramble (16.00), the waitress asked what bread I'd like and listed them. I chose and English muffin, grilled. Our order came out and the chicken and waffles had the tiniest drizzle of honey, like one line going down the plate as thin as thread. Not worth 2.00 that's for sure. Had the waitress ever checked on us we would have asked where the honey was and maybe for a refill on the coffee. My "Scamble" was an omlette. I don't know if everyone is particular but an omlette Is much different than a scramble. I expected scrambled eggs with the additions not an omlette. My English Muffin that I had requested grilled, was hard as a rock because it had been toasted and then tossed on the grill to stay warm. Again had the waitress ever checked on us we would have said something as it was inedible. Finally the waitress returns just to drop off the bill. The real kicker, we were charged 1.25 for that English Muffin no one could eat. She never told us an English Muffin would be extra when she listed the bread options either. So, very bad experience all the way around. $40.00 for breakfast for 2 people..... we will not return at this point. If you do try the place, I hope your experience is better than ours.

The long wait shouldn't determine you. It should tell you that this place is worth the wait.

Bread is homemade and fantastic. Not the pastries.

Great diner with indoor and seasonal outdoor seating. All of our food was prepared well and tasted good! We got a mix of breakfast and lunch (at lunchtime).

The server was friendly and attentive.

Place can get busy so be prepared for a short wait during busy periods. Definitely worth the wait!

Parking: Be sure to pay the meter!

This has always been our go-to place. Today, we waited half an hour to be seated even though there were empty tables and more than half the counter was empty. We said we would sit anywhere, but were still asked to wait. When we did get seated, it was at one of the empty tables that had been available the whole time we waited. Our waitress Isabel was great. She was working very hard handling tables. Kudos to her. There were quite a few disgruntled people outside waiting. I’m not sure I’ll go back.

The tent is so nice to stay outside and the service is top notch. The food was plentiful - almost too plentiful! The corned beef hash was awesome - but when I customer asks for 1 egg, please don't give them 5 eggs! I won't eat them and they get thrown away (pour slower next time!) Highly recommend.

Haven't been here for about 10 years but everything is still close to the same items and prices (inflation adjusted) and service like they know me. Great place!

If you like vintage diners, stop at Lindy's. We were up in NH to look after family property, and had breakfast at Lindy's. Eggs with chorizo made a tasty breakfast, but the marbled rye toast stole the show. Coffee was good, the mugs were refilled; just a great place to eat and hang with the locals.

Been here before and it was so good, went there again and it wasn't. I recommend going somewhere else :-)
