We had a great experience at Town Square Tavern. The food was good, our waiter was great, and he accommodated our toddler with kindness. There are not a lot of tables in the main dining area which helped maintain a quiet atmosphere. Would definitely dine here again.

The food and service were better the last time we ate here. I'm not a big complainer and maybe it was an off night, but I'll give it one more try.

Food was outstanding as was the service. Best restaurant in Keene and I tried quite a few of them.

We arrived at 6:05 for a 6:15 reservation. We were seated and given menus. So far, so good. The host poured our water and took our drink order. My husband had the pasta dish. I had the beet salad and lobster chowder that had neither lobster (not one single piece of lobster) or the wonderful veggies that define a chunky chowder. The soup was thin and tasted vaguely of seafood, but there was no heft to this soup. It just wasn't chowder. My soup and salad arrived first, well before our drinks or my husband's pasta which arrived next. The pasta was drenched in olive oil, at least twice as much oil as was required to sauté the vegetables. It was greasy. No bread was served. Soup, salad, and pasta should ALL be served with bread. I did get a plastic-wrapped little package of oyster crackers. Our drinks finally arrived about 1/2 way through our meal. The orange crush was good. The bar was out of Miller lite. The host and our server were doing their best, but without a good kitchen and bar, why go out?

Both of us had the hummus appetizer which was served with Nan and grilled veggies — excellent app split between two of us. Each of us had the grilled salmon — YUMMY! I highly recommend Town Square Tavern.

We had a delicious meal here last week! Friendly service, nice bar selection. The food was outstanding. I can't wait to go back!

The food was excellent besides that one of the main ingredients in my dish was non existent. The service was terrible. There was only two waitresses and they were struggling. It took forever to get drinks and we ended up canceling our dessert because it took so long. Hopefully they can figure things out and it'll be a great place.

We had an outstanding dinner at Town Square Tavern last night. New menu beginning this weekend — we ordered pastas (Neapolitan Nerano Pasta and Seafood Pasta Diablo). Both were prepared beautifully—piping hot and flavorful, and the portions were generous. Our servers were gracious and attentive. We will definitely be back!

Out of almost everything on the menu. The short ribs and pork were over sauced. Over priced for what you get

It was my second time under the new name and ownership and things were fantastic! It was an excellent Mother's Day brunch. Kudos for getting up and running quickly!

We had a post graduation dinner with the family. We were all absolutely starving when we arrived, so we put in appetizers right away. The clothesline bacon and deviled eggs really hit the spot. Entrees were all hot and delicious. We shared the cinnamon roll skillet as a dessert and it was the perfect finishing touch. Service was great, too. I'd say my only criticism was the music volume because it was hard to have a conversation. But I would definitely come back for the creative and well executed food.

I would love to say that we had an enjoyable dining experience. We arrived and were seated promptly. Our server must have been new or inexperienced; when my husband asked about the country of origin for one of the wines, she said she didn't know. End of conversation. We asked her to ask the bartender, which she did, but you would think that she would have thought of that herself. We ordered drinks, appetizers, and main. Shortly thereafter, the chef came out to see us. I assumed it was to do with a special handling of one of the dishes we ordered. Nope. Apparently they were just finishing a health inspection and they had to close the restaurant. Apparently the refrigerator was above acceptable temperature and the chef said they would have to throw out everything. End of dining experience. We left and walked down the street to another restaurant. My big concern is why did it take a health inspector to discover that the walk-in was above 45 degrees? I did appreciate the chef coming out personally and talking to all the diners; it had to be a bad experience. However, the experience leaves me a bit concerned about the oversight of the kitchen. This restaurant is fairly new and perhaps they are still getting their proverbial act together. We will give them another try, perhaps in a month or so.

I was expecting something perhaps different because of the online reviews. The food was just okay and was not hot when served. My roasted potatoes were cubed and resembled homefries rather than roasted potatoes. My husband's and my lamb were tender but not hot when the meals arrived. Our served never returned to check on us after the food was initially delivered or we would have asked to have our plates warmed up. We ate at noon and yet they were out of a popular desert item which I would have enjoyed.a guest in our group ordered the key lime pies which was very good. The ambiance was not anything special, but was clean and pleasant. I expected a more tavern theme perhaps- not sure we would return but it was an overall a just okay meal.

Service was good today, but restaurant wasn't very busy unlike weekends when they are too busy for number of staff. "Crispy" Brussels sprout salad was more like cold soggy Brussels sprout salad. Last week we had crispy Brussels sprout app which was mostly black. First few times we visited, I had the salmon which was wonderful. Last time there was half the amount of vegetables and again the Brussels sprouts were burnt. The hamburger was very good. I really liked hat there were a good number of French wine, now they are out of many wines and are planning on changing the wine menu - maybe it's a tariff thing. Still better than the previous restaurant, but a bit disappointing just the same.

We sat at the bar. It took at least 20 to 25 minutes for somebody to come over and take our drink order. The bartender walked by us several times and never acknowledged us sitting there. Once somebody else came by, they asked if we wanted to get drinks and it took that person a while to pour our drinks as well. Then we finally put in a food order. We had to wait another extra 40 minutes for our food. It seemed like it was a very stressful night for all the employees. They all seemed to be in a bad mood and it made for an uncomfortable atmosphere. The food was good but I felt like the portions were small. The drinks were good. I don't know if I would go back based on off of the service we received.
