While the indoor area has a strong beer production smell, the outdoor seating provides a charming atmosphere. Located in downtown Keene, Modestman Brewing releases hit after hit of hazy New England IPAs, rivaling even the popular Tree House brewery. This hidden gem is a must-visit for beer enthusiasts.
The beer is excellent, and the staff are very friendly. Be aware that as of April 2025, there is no food available anymore; it's a shame, as the pizza had been quite good. Ignore the website, which incorrectly says there is still food. Customers can bring their own food to enjoy with the delicious beers.
Modestman Brewing is known for its collaboration with Kettlehead Brewing, producing the popular "THE MOST PULPIEST THING IN THIS WORLD DIPA." Another customer favorite is the "DOUBLE SUNRISE DIPA," which is always a hit during its release rotation. The taproom offers a small but cozy atmosphere, with both indoor and outdoor seating options.
