What’s up with the hours of keen location?? Seems lame not fair to locals

Tried 4 different IPA's. All excellent. I totally agree with one of the other posts. I'd put Modestman IPA's up against the more hyped/ popular Breweries. Too bad they dont serve food anymore, but they do allow u to bring ur own. Plan ahead... it's worth it!

The beer is excellent and the staff are very friendly. Be aware that as of April 2025 there is NO FOOD anymore; it's a shame, as the pizza had been quite good. Ignore the web site, which incorrectly says there is still food.

Modestman Brewing in Keene, NH for a couple pints & a taster of something sour. The last time I made it here was in late 2021 during that ol' global bastard Covid. I didn't get to stay to long so it was great to return for a couple pints+ & chill for a bit. I've always been drinking Modestman when I see new ones in the wild at stores & pubs. A current favorite is THE MOST PULPIEST THING IN THIS WORLD DIPA, a collaboration with Kettlehead Brewing. The beer DOUBLE SUNRISE DIPA is one I always grab a 4-pack of whenever it comes around in the release rotation. There was only three different beers on tap this time I had yet to have, but all of them where different styles. 🍺πŸ”₯☘

The first pint I grabbed was the BLACK OCTOBER Marzen which was good & rich with flavor at 5.3% ABV. I then scooped up a 4oz taster of ITSOWEEZEE W/ MANGO Sour that was good, but nothing crazy that I'd personally want a full pint of. The second pint was the winner, JUICY W/ TANGERINE DIPA πŸ† was so hazy & cloudy, but in the juiciest of ways, this was one I'd have got a few pours of if I wasn't trying different beers. 🍻🍻πŸ”₯πŸ’ͺ

It's a small taproom with hightops & a patio section outside. The patio area was large enough to make up for what I assume is the slower winter season until it gets warmer out. Plenty of can options to go with some available to go that were not on tap currently. A fun trip to kick off my mini Keene brewery run with some friends for sure. ✌β™₯️🍺πŸ’ͺ☘

BEERGASM RATING - 69/87 ALWAYS KEEPING ME COMING BACK FOR SOME. πŸ»πŸ»πŸ»πŸ’¦πŸ’¦πŸ”₯πŸ”₯☘☘✌β™₯️🍺

Excellent brewery, large varieties of beer styles, from English brown, ymto multiple sours, Kolsch, and the classic NEIPs.

Been sitting here 50 minutes and still no food. Only six tables . People served before me

Good beer. Terrible service. Was told 15 minutes for food. It's been 45, still haven't got it. When I asked about it, I was told that it was a minimum of 15 minutes. Customer service? Sucks....

Nothing fancy, but has good beer that is constantly rotating and with variety

Funky unique little brewery, like you'll find all over New England. Just about everything they make is an IPA, which may be a good thing to some, but I kind of hate really hoppy beers and wish the IPA trend would die already. To each their own I suppose. That's not to say I didn't like my beer. When I mentioned to the bartender I was an IPA-hater, he said "try this" and poured me a sip of something. Turns out it was their "can't sell dope forever", which he described as not being like an IPA. He was right, this was delicious. Hmm, maybe not all IPAs suck...

My partner likes sours and Kolsch beers, and Modestman does those as well. She was happy with her selection also.

We stopped by on Saturday around noon on a sunny warm day, and ordered a pizza for lunch. Wow, was that a good pizza! They have a little tiny pizza oven and turn out fantastic Neopolitan-style pies to go with your beer. Blistered and slightly charred, crispy but still chewy, and just enough quality toppings.

The rear patio space was a nice surprise, and dog friendly.

Since we live a short walk away, I'm sure we'll be back. If you're looking for a cold drink and a warm snack some lazy warm afternoon, stop in at Modestman.
