This was reccomended by a local as having excellent ice cream, and it did not disappoint! They've got plenty of flavors to choose from , generous portions, thick & creamy texture & quality ingredients which we love. You can tell they care about their quality and good customer service. As retired small business owners we like to support others in every town we visit. We highly recommend stopping in for delicious ice cream and wonderful locally owned customer service.

Well there are vegan options for soft serve but they are overly sweet and weird and not great. I got the raspberry and white chocolate (Actual chocolate was not an option). The white chocolate tasted like cake frosting. The black raspberry was alright but super fake sweet. They're all made with almond milk, which is a nice base. Its creamy and texture is right, just flavors are blah. Friend got the mango sorbet and it tasted like peaches and was weird consistency. No mango flavor.

We've been enjoying Rick's for many years. Love that they're open all year and are open until 9pm. A lot of ice cream places in New England are only open for warm months. Seriously, we came after an ice storm and they were open normal hours. And they were super nice as usual!It's really great that they offer dairy-free soft serve and even a sugar free ice cream option!
The young girl was absolutely the rudest to me and my kids and it changed our whole moods. She was slamming the ice cream doors, acted like waiting on us was an inconvenience, my ice cream dropped because it was extremely soft and my cone was broken do you think she’d offer a new one no! She just sat there hands folded. The other girl with glasses was very polite and helping with another customer. But we just got up and walked out. The lack of customer service blows my mind.

I love this place! I've tried many of their flavors, from Mint Moose Tracks to Pistacio to Lemon Sorbet to Ginger Ice Cream and ALL are delicious. With the help of an insulated bag I carry for such occasions, I purchase at least a quart or two to give when visiting friends. In my insulated bag, I've had the quarts easily last an hour and a half to my destination. This is my favorite ice cream place!
