Bartender is an egotistical jerk. Serving under age kids yet very picky with the of age adults he will serve. A subpar bar with employees that think they’re too cool for school. Lame, you should go elsewhere honestly.

I stopped going to this place for many reasons and it's been awhile, but the last time was during an event they were hosting and the bartenders were not paying attention to the customers. For example, when I asked for a Guinness on draft the bartender gave me my cup with just foam and no beer and walked away. I didn't hesitate and spoke up about it to her that she gave me foam and she took my cup out of frustration and tried to do it again but this time paid attention to the pump to make sure that the beer was coming out and then gave me my Guinness and walkhospitality. with frustration. Look I get that working in a bar with high volume of guests can be overwhelming but to give attitude just for me letting them know that an error occurred from the draft and I would like my beer and that I am willing to wait till the draft starts working was unnecessary and unprofessional. Not to mention the reputation I've heard of the workers telling customers that leave out of disappointment of service to "never come back" to guests is very poor and unnecessary behavior. If you're looking for a bar that gives their customers great hospitality I don't recommend this place.

Used to love this place for an occasional night out. Last night we went with friends and our 2 adult children. When our youngest son didn't have ID. All 9 of us were asked to leave. Mind you this was at 6pm not late night. He stated he would just leave and go home and get his ID (40 miles away). When he returned they refused his paper ID. The same kind of paper ID they took for our oldest son. Needless to say what a waste of time. We won't be back.

My wife and I were enjoying a lovely Friday afternoon / evening walking around Main St Keene. We decided to stop in to The Pour House for a drink and maybe a snack / meal.
We grabbed a high top literally in front of the bar (which was full, but the rest of the place (the tables) were empty with the exception of one table outside which was being serviced by one of the bartenders).
We sat... and sat... and sat. We attempted eye contact w/the guys / girls working behind the bar. They did not once make eye contact nor take note of us for the good 10+ mins we sat there. We didn't bother to walk up to the bar as every seat was taken and again — we were sitting literally right in front of the bar at a high top maybe 5 ft from the bar.
Zero acknowledgment from any staff member was enough for us to slowly stand, look to the folks behind the bar for one last chance of acknowledgement but to no avail. We left and opted for one of the national chains off of Main St where would know we would be served without issue.

A excellent cheap place to grab a beer. It is more of a townie bar where everyone knows each other. They all were friendly and the staff were as well. I would go back.

Not many places can make you feel at home and thats what pour house is to me. The staff will grow on you like family, take what you will with the other reviews but people can be influenced by outsiders. Ive gone here for years and will continue to go best place around hands down!
