Very delicious food and friendly staff.
I rarely ever leave reviews but I took my wife here for our anniversary and we were not disappointed! We have tried a couple different omakase places and this is now our favorite compared to others in Boston and around here. Great cozy atmosphere and the staff made us feel very welcome. Amazing service! It is also the best sushi I have had in NH! Everything was delicious and I would highly recommend getting the omakase if you come here. The value cannot be beat especially compared to the prices of other omakase I have had and the quality is top notch.

If this isn't the best sushi in the entirety of New England (I think it is), then it's definitely the best sushi for the price in the entirety of New England. This is a no-frills joint that you could walk by on the street without even noticing, just a small sign above the door. Reservations are recommended for the Omakase. I'd stopped in a few years ago, apparently just after they opened, and had some sushi a la carte and had been meaning to go back. I happened to be in the area and dropped by, and was lucky that they were able to seat me without a reservation. It was extremely good, what else can I say? Fresh ingredients skillfully and artfully prepared. Real wasabi made in front of you. I'll be back.
This place is miles above any other sushi place in the region - possibly the state. The omakase experience is absolutely worth it, and whether Portland, Boston, New York, DC, etc I've never had better sushi than sitting at the bar here letting their chef create for me. A true hidden gem in Keene punching well above it's weight in this area.
We went 1hr out of our way to get Miso Soup for my son's birthday. It's his favorite spot!
Quality, quality, quality.
Fresh collection of interesting and delicious fish, preparation is creative and everything is beautifully balanced. Staff is incredibly friendly and welcoming.
Wow! This place was EXPENSIVE! The sushi was good, sure, but terribly overpriced and the bits of fish were awfully small. For the price, I should’ve been full, but I’m famished. Compared to every other sushi place I’ve ever been to, this place is a big disappointment.
Surprisingly high-quality fish
This place may not look like much from the outside, but the service and food were spectacular! The omakase service was comparable to a sushi restaurant in Japan with an American flare. The Hakutsuru sake was oishi (delicious) and they were able to accommodate my husband’s gluten free request. They even had real wasabi- such a treat! If you are a sushi enthusiast, this is a must try gem hidden in the small town of Keene! Please move to Newport, RI! :-)
Amazingly fresh and well crafted sushi paired with amazingly fresh and human service. Some of the best sushi I’ve had in New Hampshire - and the omikase concept is rare to find in NH despite being so much fun. Even the handcrafted salad dressing excels! I’ll be back and heartily recommend it for any sushi lovers!

The food was good quality, but the portion size for the money was surprisingly small. I will not be back.
Visiting my friend for a girls weekend and we stopped by Kurama for the Omakase menu. The food was so fresh and delicious and the staff was incredibly kind!! Could not have asked for a better experience. 10/10
Fresh, delicious sushi/sashimi. Waitress Gaby and Owner Kevin were friendly and helpful and very attentive. Excellent presentation with delicious food. We will be back!
Amazing meal. Some of the best sushi we have ever had (which was surprising given the location). They had sold out of the Omakase when we arrived so we opted for the chef’s choice and were not disappointed. Excellent meal. The added touches to the sushi and sashimi (just a touch of lemon zest in one case, a drop of truffle in another) brought it over the top. Highly recommend! My only regret was not taking a picture of our plate before we dug in!
Absolutely astounding sushi….the quality is divine, high level, five star, art for food…in a tiny cellar like room. Waitress is also as kind as can be and makes it all a wonderful experience!!
