Was seated inside on a nice day, asked to be moved to another table outside in the shade by the water, specifically asked for a certain table, was told those tables needed to be cleaned(they were already clean), so they moved me 2 table down from where I was, and placed me at a slanted table next to the main door with the most traffic, just to have a group of 4 come in and be seated at the table I requested to have.

First time trying DOX on Winnipesaukee. Frequently patronize DOX on Winnisquam. Winnipesaukee location isn't anywhere near what you get at Winnisquam location.
Understand fact of paper/plastic on Winnipesaukee, but cleanliness should be same at each location. Rugs, tables, chairs, bar, etc at Winnipesaukee were filthy and at best dry wiped....rug had numerous spots with food left for birds flopping around for a snack.
Great that the successful owners of the Winnisquam location are trying to expand upon their initial success with that location...but you will need locals to support you in off peak times. We will go to Winnisquam but not Winnipesaukee location in future unless some drastic changes are reported

Dear Dox on Winnipesaukee, please install some sort of sun shade for the 4-tops on the perimeter of the deck. I do not appreciate spending $100 for lunch that my young children barely ate because they were wilting in the sun. It’s not okay. My salad turned to hot gush after about 4 minutes in the hot sun. If you want to cater to young families please have more shade options - not just for the large groups. Also, for having great fried chicken it would be lovely to have more house made dipping options like ranch. People don’t like bottled dressing. We can serve that at home. We won’t be eating here again.

Stopped in for lunch. The waitress we had was atrocious. She was in a rush and wanted us to put in our app and meal order at the same time. We were not in a hurry! The plastic cups they serve water in were filthy and looked not washed. Meals came and we got the loaded potato nuggets with pulled pork. The pork was very sparse to say the least for $17, not worth the money. Ordered the chicken tenders that came with fries (worse/similar to Mcdonalds) and a runny plop of coleslaw that was tossed on the fries (gross, watery and made fries mushy). The waitress didn't even drop off our meals, check to see if we needed anything, see if everything was ok. NOPE! Found her at the hostess station putting on her lip gloss and when we asked for the bill, that of course came very quick! We noticed she checked her tablet and scrolled to see what we left for a tip. Not impressed with the place, other than you can look out at the lake. Will not be returning! I recommend going to the Looney Bin up the road.

Okay for a beer an an app post boat, but definitely would not recommend for a meal.

2 adults 3 kids. We didn’t have to wait too long (between 3-5 arcade games later, we got the text about our table being ready). The tables were all cleared when we walked up, so I appreciate the team there not rushing to sit us down if the kitchen was handling a load of tickets.
We ordered the Guac and Corn dip to start- for a spot that did not claim “authentic Mexican” it was good. A great portion and our server offered us sour cream and salsa on the side- that was a plus. The portion of guac was so large I asked for extra chips to continue enjoying even when our main entrees arrived. It was giving homemade vibes, which is great when you’re hungry- it was not some dry powder guac mix- chunks of avocado, sweet pieces of corn, onion etc. Could it have used a squeeze of lime and chopped cilantro, sure- but it was not a deal breaker.
My kids ordered a hot dog and garden salad- great size hot dog, awesome salad portion. One of the 3 ordered a cheese burger- which seemed like the exact burger as the single smash burger minus the caramelized onions and bacon and a side of Mac and cheese (also great portion).
Both adults ordered burgers too- one Downsize (only one smash burger patty) and the Dox which included 2 smash burger patties - both with cheese bacon and caramelized onions. For sides we had the house made chips, and Mac and cheese.
The only feedback I have is about the lack of flavor in the Mac and cheese. Maybe it’s a cultural thing- but a little salt and pepper probably won’t hurt anybody. ?
Overall no complaints. I like that there was a live musician performing cover songs with the guitar and harmonica. The view was cool, and it seemed like a laid back environment.
Kid-friendliness: Kids menu includes Hot dog, chicken tenders, cheese burger, and I think I’m missing one of their thing. There is a $7 sides option too- if you wanted to mix up stuff. Fries, mashed potatoes, salad, fries, etc

Danielle was the best server ever.. she was there to serve us whenever we needed something and after too many drinks she actually got a ride home with the bartender Charlie.. they’re both the best.. this place rocks
I really wanted to like it here! The views of the water are beautiful and exactly what we were looking for. The food was fair, not great but the biggest issue was the hostess staff. The two blond young women that were working the front door were the nastiest, most unwelcoming I have yet to encounter in the Lakes Region. They treated every customer in a condescending manner-never a smile or welcoming attitude. DOX, they definitely are not what you want your customers to encounter as a first contact with your restaurant.

Expensive is my first thought looking at the menu We ordered two drinks ( not what we wanted but similar) Small drinks not much alcohol at all!? We order our food my pulled pork sandwich is cold and dry. So the waitress brings me an other pulled pork sandwich slightly warmer but dry and not edible My husband’s single hamburger came out as a double burger (more expensive) French fry’s are an extra cost also We are not complainer’s The manger came over and we explained She only took of 5.00 dollars off our bill if 67.00 dollars Don’t waste your money to go there !we are locals and trying to support our local businesses. Good luck this winter with us locals that are the only ones here to dine most of the time Disappointed to say don’t waste your money there ?
