Food was amazing. It was a little on the louder side but that is to be expected on valentine's day. Service was fantastic and everything was truly wonderful. It made for a spectacular evening.

Outstanding oysters on the half shell, presented like a top-line city restaurant! Superb main course of swordfish and duck. Professionaly prepared cocktails. Pricy, but you get great value for the cost. Best restaurant in our area. They could use a decor touch up with pictures on the walls.

Laconia Local Eatery absolutely nails the sweet spot. The ambiance is just right. Warm and inviting without feeling stuffy, relaxed without drifting into overly casual. It's the kind of place where you instantly feel comfortable, whether you're out for a date night or bringing the family along. The food is outstanding. Fresh, thoughtfully prepared, and perfectly cooked across the board. You can taste the care in every dish. The rotating menu is a real highlight, shaped by what's freshest, what's in season, and whatever inspired spark the chef is following that day. It makes every visit feel a little bit like a first time. Service was flawless. Attentive, welcoming, and genuinely kind. The staff handled adults and kids with equal ease, making everyone at the table feel seen and well taken care of. Laconia Local Eatery isn't just a meal. It's an experience that feels intentional, local, and done right. A place you leave already planning your return.

We have been here many times at all different times of the year. This visit was our most disappointing. The small plates should now be called tony plates and were lacking in originality. The wine was good but very expensive - $26 for a glass? They were great in accommodating a last minute request but the food and prices overshadowed the service. They also discontinued the charcuterie board which was always a highlight for us.

The atmosphere was inviting on a cold winter evening. It's dark and cozy but we were seated right by a door that opened directly to the outside, so we asked to move and were obliged.. We opened our menus discussing that some wine would be nice but were quite shocked that the price per glass of any of the wines was $27 or higher! Most entrees were in the $48 or higher range. I ordered a salad with roasted butternut squash and roasted sweet potatoes. It was delicious but quite small for $27 and the roasted vegetables were cut into teeny tiny pieces and were quite skimpy. One friend ordered the margarita Flatbread gluten free. It was also tasty but skimpy for $22. Another friend ordered the smash burger which he enjoyed but said it was nothing special. I am not sure what the price was. My husband ordered the duck which was also small but he enjoyed it very much. The price for that was $48. For what I just described our bill came to well over $200 before adding in a tip. Because the service was outstanding, we tipped our server a generous 25%. Next time we visit Laconia we won't return to this restaurant.

Food is always excellent. I like that the menu changes. Taste combos are unique and work well. Always full of flavor. One of my favorite restaurants in the lakes region.

Unique Shrimp Scampi without the usual heavy butter sauce. Friendly & efficient waiter. Have eaten at Local a lot and never had a less than stellar experience!

Great food and service at this small restaurant. It's in part of a renovated train station and there are only 20-30 tables. The menu looked interesting and delicious and our meals were all well prepared and fresh. I will go again when I'm in Laconia.

The food was extraordinary - the menu is creative. We had the Chef's Tasting for Two - two small plates, starter salads, entrees and dessert to share. My husband said the blackberry duck was THE BEST duck he's ever had! (He's 70 - that's a lot of duck!) Highly recommend.

Overall this is a great restaurant with fresh, farm to table menu that rotates seasonally. Service is amazing. Our latest dinner was slightly disappointing in that many of the main dishes were out of stock and with a limited menu, it left few choices. We have previously never had an issue and will try again

The Blackberry Duck Breast with vanilla marscapone risotto is amazing, one of the most innovative dishes I've had in NH. The duck was perfectly cooked, and all of the components worked beautifully together. I hope this dish becomes a permanent option on the menu. Delicious!
