I came to town for the eclipse, and Polish Princess Bakery was one of the highlights of the trip. They aren't usually open on Mondays, but they opened special for all the eclipse tourists. I bought a chocolate croissant, a cinnamon roll, and a piece of broccoli & cheese "slab pie," which is basically quiche filling in puff pastry. The slab pie was nice and hot and very tasty. The croissant was probably one of the best chocolate croissants I have every had. I didn't get to the cinnamon roll until the following day, so I don't know what it would have been like when it was fresh, but it was still pretty good day-old. The only reason I'm giving the four stars instead of five is that they didn't have their baked goods labeled with names and prices, so if you wanted to know, you had to ask, which slowed everything down and also made me wonder whether they had raised their prices for the tourists. They had some eclipse merch with the price on the tag crossed out, which was not a good look for transparency in pricing. Still, I'd definitely go back if I'm ever in the area again.

Every time I'm in town for an overnight I make sure I stop here for breakfast and coffee. Their baked goods and breakfast sandwiches are the tops. Their coffee is as good as anywhere and service is also friendly. They have a nice sit down area now too! Definitely stop here when you're in town. So good!!

I'm local and have been going to Polish Princess since they opened. I have been out of state for the last 6 months, and was excited to return. Boy oh boy was I disappointed. I honestly think I was sold day old pastry. I got several items, including the almond croissant...which was always my favorite. It's not even the same product. It was dry and hard. It wasn't eatable. I gave it to my husband and he said "gross". After spending $5 for a croissant..it was thrown away. Sorry, but you lost this customer.

Lancaster is very lucky to have this bakery in their little town. We had heard about this bakery and decided to check it out. We were not disappointed. The prices were very reasonable. The food was so so good. We had the breakfast sandwich that you could easily hold in one hand to eat. The bread was so soft and fresh. Also got the polish drozdzowka and the apple galette. Oh my, so good! When they say fresh from scratch, they are not kidding. If you are anywhere near this place in the north country, you must stop in!

Omgoodness! Nice spot we found on Main Street in this northern town. Small lunch menu with decent options. Try the Bigos soup, it was DELISH!!! A Polish soup made with sauerkraut, veggies and absolutely loaded with meat!! Packed with flavor and lots of spices which were not overpowering at all. We tried a chicken salad sandwich -- the roll was AMAZING!! There are plenty of fresh baked sweets to choose from... The apple galette we shared for dessert was just right -- the filling was not overly sweet and the flavor of the apples really comes through. The dough is hard to describe, a combination of soft, flaky yummy goodness. Service was great, both people at the counter were very pleasant and helpful in explaining the menu. (One was the owners son.) Also, you need to know that they sell loaves of their own delicious homemade bread here. Buy some! There's a large room in back with plenty of unique seating options. Will definitely come back the next time we're in town!

Delicious! We got the honey cinnamon & pumpkin pie lattes, both made very well. The slab pie & cinnamon roll were SO good. Very friendly staff & a lovely environment to sit on a rainy Sunday. Thank you!

I’ve been wanting to visit this bakery for a while and finally made it there. The hype is all real, I had the most legit lox bagel since russ & daughters in NYC and it’s right in the heart of the North Country of NH. Picked up a flax seed loaf (pictured below) sliced the heel and had a sample with some butter and it’s no joke, best bread ever. The vibe in the bakery is great, nice places to sit. The coffee is rich and strong, the folks are super nice and welcoming. Couldn’t ask for anything better!Parking: Plenty of street and side street parking

We stopped in to the Polish Princess Bakery for a mid-morning snack when driving through Lancaster, NH on a NE roadtrip. I've eat Double Baked Almond Croissants from many bakeries and the Polish Princess was by far the best I've ever had. Crispy outside with lots of sliced almonds and a soft inside with lots of almond creme. Amazing.
