So cool that you can boat to this restaurant! The food was really good - probably the best stripped clams we've tasted. The onion rings were amazing. The staff was very friendly and informative. We'll be back to enjoy this place again - by land and by water!

I took a busload of senior citizens on a hike to Smith Pond. After 4 miles in and out, our adventurous group was ready for a filling lunch. I contacted The Baited Hook well beforehand to see if they could accommodate our large group, and the response from Dawn was swift and positive. Once we arrived, everyone's orders were placed quickly and efficiently. When the food arrived, I heard only good things - particularly notable from a group who has lived long enough to speak their minds without any filter. To top things off, the restaurant's site is sublime. Perched on the shoreline of a glassy Mascoma Lake reflecting the beginnings of the fall colors for which New England is so revered, we couldn't have asked for better. We're looking forward to our next visit.

Next to Mascoma Lake, and serving decent seafood and ice cream. The new owners have kept it open and it's nice to be able to eat facing the lake either on their porch or on the picnic tables.

Incredibly high prices, unacceptably low qualify. I understand it's a challenge to be selective when there's so little on offer, but please avoid this place. Total garbage at insulting prices. That was harsh, and for that I do apologize. But yes, very bad. Owners should try the coleslaw - inedible. And those fish tacos...pitiful utterly

Excellent food, wonderful atmosphere on lake, great outside seating and indoor overlooking the water. Busy, so service can seem slow.

We have been eating here for the last two years. It's one of those places to can go to and know you will get good food! After the 30+ times of us eating here, we have never had an issue. We always leave satisfied. With a family of five that says a lot. My husband and I almost always get the fish tacos! The price is reasonable for the amount of food you get!! The best part of Baited Hook is they are constantly improving/ expanding seating, the look and feel of the place. Plus, the staff is ALWAYS friendly. My only negative comment is in the fall, winter and spring months they shorten their hours. So there have been times we look forward in eating there and they are closed. (That is on us as we need to get better at looking them up online to make sure they are open before heading over.) But, I must says it's a Big bummer as we really enjoy our dinners there. So, I do highly recommend this place!

The Baited Hook is a local treasure. The owners take such care with the property. So many fun features and details (including boats you can eat in). The staff is friendly and attentive. The bathrooms are clean and adorable. We both had the haddock sandwiches and were very impressed. The piece of haddock was substantial and the flavors were fabulous. Their fries (seasoned crispy fries and sweet potato fries) are the best in the Upper Valley!
