We had a nice breakfast at the counter. Has a very cool atmosphere. Staff was friendly, food was pretty good but the eggs benedict was soaked in water.

Great food, very cool 1950's diner, great service. Parking was a little tough- probably not great if you have a trailer in tow.

Long queues and inaccurate estimation of wait time.

I can’t advise anyone to do business with an establishment that adds gratuity themselves. This is theft and it’s disgusting. No one should eat there

I placed a takeout order and noticed after pick up when reviewing my receipt that an automatic gratuity had been added without any prior notice. When I spoke to the owner, I was rudely told that this gratuity is automatically applied, but that it can be removed upon request. However, this was not communicated upfront, nor was there any signage or notice provided beforehand, which raises concerns about transparency and the business practices here.

Unfortunately, when I attempted to get a refund for the gratuity, the restaurant refused to issue one, so I had to dispute the charge through my bank, which was ultimately successful. I’ve also filed a formal complaint with the New Hampshire Consumer Protection and Antitrust Bureau regarding the lack of disclosure and transparency in this practice.

Overall, while I understand tipping is important, I believe this needs to be handled in a more transparent way. Customers deserve to know about these charges before they hit the receipt.

For others with this experience: You can file a complaint with the Consumer Protection and Antitrust Bureau through the New Hampshire Attorney General’s Office. All online. They handle complaints about unfair or deceptive business practices, which would cover undisclosed automatic gratuities.

Oh, and the food was nothing special, especially for the prices. Go to any other diner (or McDonald’s) for better food and service.

Added tip on a take-out orders!?! Does this seem right?

I asked where my food was because I ordered as soon as they opened the doors but the regulars who were seated and ordered after me all got food before me.

She said oh it’s there she just didn’t grab it yet.

I said if you are make me feel better that my food is sitting out there it’s not working.

This is the owner now- she walked away, telling the other customers. Oh great another Karen.

Basically, I took my food when it was handed to me by the waitress who was offering me the largest takeout bag in the history of bags. I just told her I was all set and I didn’t like being called Karen and walked out.

All right everyone tell me how a table of 4 has their food cooked faster than a breakfast sandwich to go order?!?

I wouldn’t even feed anyones dog this food
The home fries were overly cooked(burnt)
And Drier than the Saharan Desert itself!

The breakfast sandwich was like a quick thrown together thing(I could have done that at home and for cheaper)
Bacon was overly
Cooked and hard

I kept having to ask where my drink was also.

Will not be returning again

A truly delicious and adorable breakfast and lunch spot. The prices are great and one of the only places I've found that you can tell your meal is homecooked and delicious. The staff are always so lovely every time we have stopped in. For a small and always busy place, the staff is very efficient and you can get a table or a spot at the counter quickly, even on a Sunday. We will always stop here when in the area and honestly, even make the drive just to go here. The best breakfast spot in NH/VT!!

Quaint theme based dining establishment. Busy place for first breakfast wave on Sunday, popular among both locals and the traveler.

As it is popular, probably based off great food and quality ingredients must let staff feel complacent with half cocked service.
Waiting staff could have walked around refilling coffee, following through on small requests and maintaining the system for customers efficiency.

Cute small town diner, great food, a singular staff member making efforts to provide great service with a full house of 4 other employees.

An interesting place. Pretty tight inside, old diner feeling with walls covered in quotes. We both had the Redneck Benedict, which was two biscuits, swiss cheese, bacon, poached eggs, covered in sausage gravy... You know, super not healthy, but so worth it! Also shared a monkey fist bread which was pretty good. Oh, and it's crowded, you will wait to be seated.

There was a long queue so the server gave us the pager promising it’s about a 30 minutes wait, when we checked in 40 minutes later she said she paged 15 times. Funny because the pager never buzzed even though we were waiting in the car just next to the quaint diner. They sat the next two in line. We waited another 15 minutes and went in to check if we can be accommodated given there are multiple tables vacant. We finally sat, and as I was ready to order; I called the passing by server to take our order and she said “I am not your waiter” like what?? Well, first: I didn’t know who my waiter was, and second she is a damn waiter nevertheless so she could politely reply and bring in whoever is taking my order. She never called anyone and we waited another 10 minutes for someone to finally arrive. The dark haired waitress was very impolite and aggressive: like she hates her job. The next one with pink hair was polite and helpful.
The food is mid, and they have no latte/cappuccino only black coffee. The strawberries in my waffle had fungus and I returned it. The washroom was very dirty with a repulsive toilet seat, questionable hygiene. Flies around. No toilet paper. I literally dashed out of the place and we didn’t even finish our brunch. Hope they address the concerns soon. Overall, 10/10 wont recommend to any friend.
