Random find on the way home from VT. One visit and this is now going to be an absolute favorite! Wanted to order everything but will have to wait until next time. We ordered from the special of the day menu and wow! The bartender was great. Her suggestions were spot on!

2/16/24 Exercise extreme caution, their word is not their bond. My best man contacted this restaurant to order the rest of my groomsman and I some dinner to take to our Air BnB in Vermont on the first night of my bachelor party. Given that there were like six of us he called on the Tuesday to see if he should place the order ahead, good work my man. They told him to call in on Friday when he wanted to order the food. He calls to order the food on Friday and they tell him they don't do takeout.

I sat at my table for ten minutes with no acknowledgement I was there and then gave up. Sort of amazing given all the people working there and how few customers there were. Whatevs. Depressing vibe. Local Thai restaurant was a much better experience.

We spent an extra night in Quechee and asked the son if he had a place to eat in Hanover, a friend piped up that he recently ate at three tomatoes, and suggested it strongly. We had already eaten lunch there once before, and it was quite good so we went back and had a good meal last night.

I have been going to Three Tomatoes since its beginning as Sweet Tomatoes. For my late husband and me, it was always our go-to place for dinner. Not that we dined out all that often, but I remember special evenings when we'd gather there with our daughters and grandchildren. On more than one occasion, a son-in-law would have to take a fussy grandchild out of the restaurant to walk about until he or she could be brought back to the table. The enticing aroma upon entering, the friendliness of the hostess and waitstaff and of course, the delicious food, and warm atmosphere have made it a favorite place to take the now grownup grandchildren as I did on Saturday. I confess to becoming a little emotional and teary upon entering as I know how much my husband who died in October would have loved to be there with us.

Great pizza from a real stone oven. A bit pricey but worth it. In this area, be glad to have more than one option for good pizza. This is one of the 3 good pizza places in the area.

I made a reservation weeks before to make sure we had one for a busy holiday weekend, especially traveling with 2 young kids (3 and 5). Arrived for our 5:30 pm reservation and was told they didn't have a table ready yet because some others had joined so we had to wait at the bar until 6:15 pm. Finally sat down and it took awhile for our food to arrived. We asked to have the kids food first and we still didn't get our beverages at this point. We finally got our food about 7:15 pm. We never had anyone clear our dirty plates as we waited for a dessert menu. We decided we had enough and left at 7:45 pm and our table was still not cleared. Not one person apologized for the delay in seating us not to mention the incredibly slow service. A 5:30 pm reservation and didn't leave until 7:45 pm with a 3 and 5 year old. Horrific service and would not recommend. The food was definitely not worth the wait.

We had a wonderful late lunch / early dinner celebrating Valentine's Day. My wife had the Shrimp Scampi appetizer with numerous large delicious shrimp in a flavorful sauce, and I had the Mussels Bianco, which came with a fantastic white-wine, butter and garlic sauce. We both used the bread to sop up all the sauce / broth that we could! For our main course, my wife had the Fettuccine Salmon Limone. and I had the Penne Carbonara (with added chicken). Both were outstanding. For dessert, we shared a Tiramisu, also outstanding. The meal ended with 2 excellent cappuccinos. Our server was efficient and friendly. Everything was as we hoped.

2/12/24— So, we finally emerged from our survival test at the Preserve in Richmond RI(don’t go there ) We stumbled upon this restaurant by looking at google maps —surprise ! . As soon as I walked in, the first thing that hit me wasn't just a warm welcome, but actual heat from their 'brick' oven. Ahead of us stood two delightful elderly couples, munching on their greens while I, on the other hand, went wild with shrimp, chicken parmesan, and a couple of glasses of riesling. Meanwhile, my husband opted for just coffee because apparently, hunger wasn't in his vocabulary tonight. This place was buzzing, even on a mundane Monday. Seating was scarce, so we cozied up at the bar, where I found myself sneakily eavesdropping on Mahomes' post-game interview after the Chief's Super Bowl win. But let's get back on track. I wholeheartedly endorse this joint. Amy A, the bartender, was a whirlwind of activity, darting back and forth. And watching the pizza makers in action was more entertaining than a Sinatra serenade (even though New York has nothing to do with pizza). So, if you're ever in town, do yourself a favor—come feast here!

For consistency of a lively atmosphere; fun and attentive servers; and good Italian fare, Three Tomatoes is a great choice for casual dates, gathering with friends, and family-friendly dinner. The standard pizza is among the best in the area, the salads are generously prepared using local ingredients, and it is so much fun to ask for a "half-chicken" or "chicken" of house wine. If you love a good cannoli (you are a crazy person if you don't), be sure to order one before you close out your check. The shell is firm and crispy, and the filling is remarkably smooth and has a balanced sweetness. One end is dipped in chocolate chips, and, for a dash of virtue, the other end is dipped in really fresh pistachio chunks (versus the sad, soggy minced nuts some places try to pass off). I should also mention that the hours are great, and it's just a few buildings over from the Lebanon Opera House, so if you are going for a pre-show dinner, you might want to build in a little extra time because this is a popular combination. That said, the staff really steps up, so you won't be late!

Absolutely delicious fresh food, reasonable portions and the complimentary warm baguette with chopped garlic and oil is awesome. The service has always been great; friendly and efficient. Always on our short list when we go out to eat if we want to be sure we get what we pay for.
