Oh, where do I even begin? Let me start by saying that if you're into **unbelievable waits**, this place is a dream come true. You could go grab a coffee, catch up on a few chapters of War and Peace, and still be sitting there when your food finally arrives. It's like they’re treating you to a free lesson in patience. The service? Well, it might be quicker to train for a marathon than wait for that plate of “meh” food to arrive.
Speaking of the food—**delicious** (if you’re a fan of things that are somehow both bland and forgettable). It’s like they somehow took all the flavor from the ingredients and decided, “Nah, let’s just keep it on the sidelines.” And don’t even get me started on the portion sizes. Calling it "small" would be an insult to tiny things everywhere—it's more like a preview of the actual meal that never came.
Now, as for the mandatory 20% gratuity on even a two-person table? Wow. It’s truly inspiring. Who wouldn’t want to leave a generous tip after spending hours shivering in what can only be described as an arctic chill? The room temperature is so cold, I half expected to see penguins waddling through the door. Honestly, at this point, I’d rather freeze to death than deal with another bite of whatever that was.
In short, if you love feeling like you're paying for a luxury experience that falls way short of its promises, this is your place. Can't wait to wait for another "meal" here.

Food tasted terrible and the nachos were incredibly plain. We were looking forward to getting food from here and ended up being incredibly disappointed. Will not return back to this restaurant. The rice was dry and had a strange taste, black beans tasted like canned beans heated in the microwave. Shredded chicken in the burritos tasted a lot like tuna.
Extremely long wait time. Once we placed our order no one came to check on us for next 1 hr.
At that point when I checked for the ETA of our food the server asked if we want to cancel our order and leave. We decided to wait due to high rating. Food arrived after 1.5 hrs.
Food turned out to be OK.
They clearly do not have capacity to serve the restaurant of that size.

I’m giving the review based on our recent visit - it could have been just a one off instance with more guests anticipated vs short staffing. But our (party of 12) experience was bad.
We were seated immediately but it took about an hour for the food to arrive. We had kids in our group and they started crying. They didn’t accommodate bringing the kids food first. Water needs to be ordered won’t be asked as part of placing the order.
Food also wasn’t great, very bland and for sure priced high.
Would suggest placing couple of alcohol order so you forget it took 1 hour to bring the food or how bad the food tastes.
Only good thing was the friendly nature of the waitress who took our order and tried her best to work with the delay.

I have no idea how this is rated 4.6 stars. Service was friendly and competent, but the food was really terrible. We ordered nachos, they tasted just like highschool cafeteria nachos. Barely melted, pre-shredded cheese, on top of cold chips with some diced tomatoes and lettuce. Not much flavor. Seems like poor quality ingredients. I would not return.
It's not difficult to be the "best Mexican restaurant in Lincoln" when there are only 2 Mexican restaurants in Lincoln.

Disappointing Experience During Peak Foliage Season.
We visited this restaurant during peak foliage season, and despite the beautiful surroundings, the experience was far from pleasant. The place was busy with all tables occupied, and we stood for 20 minutes without anyone acknowledging us or providing wait time information. Once we finally placed our order, it took 45 minutes to receive our food, which was incredibly disappointing.
We ordered a vegetarian burrito for $19 and a veggie burger for $16. Both were tasteless and far from authentic—the burrito especially lacked any real Mexican flavor, and the meal felt like something a college kid would throw together. On top of that, the food was expensive and not worth the price. To make matters worse, they automatically added a 20% gratuity to the receipt.
Overall, a terrible experience—I would not recommend it.

A very very nice place but the food is Mexican, America is not 100% Mexican, the flavor is why I give it 3 stars. The food is not that good, but the service and drinks are super good.

After soaking in the stunning views at Artist Bluff, I made a stop with some companions for a casual meal. Our order included a selection of dishes, among them enchiladas—one with chicken and another with a vegetarian mix. While the fillings were both flavorful and well-seasoned, the tortillas left something to be desired, as they lacked the freshness that could have elevated the dish.
The rice, however, was a standout. It was expertly cooked—light, fluffy, and a perfect accompaniment to the main courses. Unfortunately, the fries didn’t meet expectations. Served cold and lacking crispiness, they had the texture and taste more akin to fast food, which was a letdown. On a brighter note, the taco offered a well-balanced blend of flavors and was satisfying overall.
Service was a definite plus—the staff was attentive, and the food arrived surprisingly quickly.
It was a pleasant, though not flawless, dining experience.

This is one the most expensive and worst meals I have had in quite some time. We were sat immediately and staff was nice enough. The photos and reviews looked great so we were excited but one look at the menu and it was disappointing. We waited for the food to make the final decision, I got the chicken enchiladas it came with rice and beans. The enchiladas tasted like they sat under a heat lamp a little too long the rice was not cooked fully and the beans just… why. Everything on that menu is so expensive this place is quite literally a tourist trap. Free chips and salsa but it’s a minuscule amount and if you want more it’s 6.99? Plastic plates, limes in the drinks that are puny and old looking. 20% tip added without choice of customer which can be great sometimes but is absolutely not needed in this situation. I’m going to hope this food does not make me ill. Please do more research when you are in the area I am so sure anywhere else will be actually worth your money.

Fran was brilliant! She was so chatty and helpful. The food was great, especially the homemade taco shell and the chips. No grease at all.

The fajitas are outstanding. Everything well cooked and seasoned. The chicken had a beautiful color to it.
Chimichangas were good although I was really missing that cheese sauce that most Mexican restaurants smother their chimichangas with.
Chips were good but the salsa desperately needed some salt.
Could have been a 5 star but it’s just too expensive. 2 margaritas. 1 chimichanga dinner. 1 chicken fajitas. After tip it was over $90. Mexican food simply should not be that expensive.

Recommended dishes: The Safest Enchiladas I Ever Had, Chicken Fajitas
This was the worst meal we had in a long time. We ordered steak fajitas, a burger, a quesadilla and taquitos. The fajitas were fine but they came with a flour tortilla, shredded cheese and the worst tasting rice and beans. They use that same type of Mexican style cheese in every dish. The burger was overdone and came with very little fries. I have no words for the rest of the food. I don’t know how this place has 4.6 stars on google, just all around disappointment.

This place is as bad as the other one star reviews say it is. I had the enchiladas and they tasted like sloppy joes. Nothing wrong with sloppy joes, but they’re not enchiladas.
