I ordered a German chocolate cake that was a chocolate cake with pecans and a chocolate frosting a little coconut mixed in totally not German chocolate cake. very disappointing
I called Blackberry Bakery on Saturday morning if they had any small red velvet cakes for a friendâs birthday. The gentleman who answered said they donât keep them in stock but they could make me one if I was interested. He asked if I wanted any special writing on it and I just said âHappy Birthday, Claireâ and then gave me a very reasonable quote. He said the cake would be ready in about five hours. I pick it up along with a tiramisu cupcake since I couldnât resist - both were very good! I love the decorations they added to the cake, especially on short notice. My friends really enjoyed the cake.

Stopped by on a whim because my sweet tooth was calling and these treats did not disappoint! First thing I ate was the strawberry ricotta bar and it was delicious! Everything else was just as good, sooo tasty!

We ordered an oreo cake and OMG it was amazing. So many people came up to us and asked where we purchased the cake. Im not a huge fan of chocolate cake but wow. The icing was the biggest hit though. People couldn't stop talking about it. Nice job, we'll be back!
They did mess up the name and when I asked them to fix it they wrote it on a piece of plastic and placed it on the cake. I thought it was strange that they didnt rewrite it on the cake itself. Also they could have wrote the message bigger to fit the size of the cake.

Worst bakery ever!! Do not order a rum cake from there it was more like a strawberry shortcake with NO RUM!! And the cherry pie tasted like chemicals
I feel like I'm at home when I stop by. Asked for cupcakes for Christmas party and they were beautiful and yummy! Not too sweet, so I feel good eating it. ;)

Ordered gluten free cake last minute. Owner went above and beyond trying to accommodate me. The cake was fabulous, people couldnât even tell it was gluten free! It was also a lot cheaper than other GF cakes weâve gotten in the past.

I did not want to leave a review, but after reaching out on FB in August and never hearing back, I decided to leave an honest review. My fiancé purchased a cake from Blackberry for my birthday and he was EXTREMLY upset with how it came out. He showed the person over the counter a picture of a cake and they told him they could do the job. When he arrived, the cake was VERY small...not at all the height of the cake he had shown them. Granted the cake was pretty, but the tiny cake was $80! He is not the type to speak up BUT this cake was not worth $80. At that price, I would have rather he purchased a cake at Market Basket. Please do not tell customers you can execute 'designer style - multi layer' cakes if you can't do it - not only that, but I don't know how you can charge $80 for a basic, two-layer cake. Needless to say, he felt ripped off.

Impromptu drop in today at blackberry bakery to grab cupcakes for dessert. The lone gentleman was taking an extended phone call order and while I was a little bit frustrated, I had had their cupcakes before, and he was absolutely apologetic. I am so glad I waited. I bought a half dozen cupcakes- Reese's peanut butter cup, Oreo, tiramisu, lemon, raspberry mousse, and a traditional yellow cake with white chocolate frosting. There were three of us eating and we split all of them into thirds. We all agreed they were hands down the best cupcakes we have had. Each one of them had a center filling that was different from the frosting, which was the smoothest and appropriately but not overly sweet buttercream I have ever tasted. They were not tiny cupcakes but were ample for the price paid and I can't wait to go back. The crumb of the cake was moist and dense on every one of the cakes. I wish I had taken photos, they were exquisite. Highly recommend.
