This place has declined since it’s good ol days. I lived in Manchester NH in the 80’s when 99s was always full and food was delicious. I happen to dine here in Oct ‘25; salmon dinner was barely cooked, haddock was old, and soup was soggy. I’m not a chef but even the food I cook at home is far better than this. This franchise is now a No.

The 99 is not a fancy gourmet place but if you want decent food at more than decent prices it's fabulous. I got the Turkey dinner with all the fixings for 15.99. It might not have been as good as mine but I didn't spend hours cooking and it was a very satisfying meal. There was plenty of it too. It's hard to find a place where you can go out for a reasonable price today, this is one of the few places left that you might actually be able to afford taking the family to. Nothing pretentious just a solid meal at a decent price.

As a long time customer (going back to the OG in Boston) I have increasingly noticed the downward spiral of the food. I used to always get the balsamic chicken…first instead of 2 boneless breasts it was cut in half to one breast at same price. Then the quality went way down and the chicken was/is always fatty. Recently it was a Reuben that consisted of rubber corn beef!! Presently Yankee pot roast was added….I was so excited. But what was described as tender slow cooked pot roast was small pieces of tough, fatty, gross, chewy meat…tried it twice 2nd try just as bad. Even if some of the food is decent you get reduced portions at higher prices. Basically….across the board…the food’s quality, and quantity are almost at rock bottom…while the prices have gone way up. Imagine $43.00 for prime rib when across the street you can go to Longhorn’s for a far superior prime rib for $23.00!! If the 99 thinks saving costs by lowering the quality and quantity of the food while raising prices is going to keep them in business and save them….they’d be so wrong…at least in my case. You can boil the frog but eventually that won’t work and people will realize how bad you’ve gotten and how badly you feed and charge your customers. I’d pay a bit more if the food was good, but it’s not, I’d put up with smaller portions but not for higher prices. Definitely will not return for smaller portions of inferior food at higher prices. Better restaurants are gone for much less reasons. I don’t get pleasure from criticizing a long time business especially one I frequent….but because so many places are sadly now gone….i truly hope some constructive criticism can turn things around and help prevent a similar fate from happening again. As it is now…the only thing positive is the staff….they are beyond great.

Usually pretty busy. We come here often enough that servers recognize us and we recognize them. Food is always pretty quick, usually pretty good, and the service is always amazing.

Genuinely incredible pretzel for the fall specials, and above par for a standard 99 restaurant.

I am an Army Veteran, I went there for the buy one entree, get the other entree for free. I got home and discovered that the chicken in the entree was badly burned. I am also a Senior Citizen denture wearer. Very hard to eat the chicken. I ordered the Country fried chicken entree. Grilled chicken teriyaki. And missing was the second side for the Grilled chicken. I was very disappointed. I had been there before, and everything was more edible. That's why I ordered the Country fried chicken. The young man who took my order was personable👍. The Country fried chicken entree was not worth what I paid for it.
A change in rating, 3 stars. The Grilled Teriyaki chicken was good😋!

Ordered a medium rare steak and I have cooked it two times so far and it still looks like it’s rare. It came to my door basically a raw piece of meat and the salad was brown. 2 dinners $70 and it was not good at all. Do better 99.

I had the fried chicken sandwich for lunch. It was just so bad. A small frozen patty with a couple pickles and a piece of lettuce for $15.00. Would have been better of going to McDonald's and I haven't eaten at McDonalds in years...

Service was great at the bar, with one bartender who was able to run the whole restaurant. Management and runners were giving her the support she needed to do a great job. Well done. The boneless wings had a great sauce of their own design, and the potato skins were 1st rate. The chicken parm tasted burnt, and the grilled chicken sandwich was dried out. I suspect that the bread was a little old, maybe? And everything fried tasted like the oil was old. The wings were covered in a good sauce, so that masked the burnt taste.
