This location definitely needs some work at the Management level. While the pizza was very good and the waitress (Elise) attentive and polite, there were things that were sub par. Rolls were not available initially (something about a broken machine?) they later appeared shortly before our pizza was brought out. No beer was available on tap and later when bathroom was required, we were told that it was unavailable due to lack of lighting. Overall really gave the impression of lack of management oversight to keep restaurant in desirable condition for customers.
There was no working bathroom. We waited hour for two cold pizzas. There was only one waitress . It was a horrible experience. People were getting up and leaving. It's the second time that has happened to us we had the same experience the first time.
They don't take reservations. They sent us a confirmation, we drove all the way there, and were then told that they don't take reservations and there was an hour wait. So, we left.
The host was rude. I was greeted with a quote of “what do you want “. The two people in front of me picking up food had major issues. At that point I decided to go elsewhere to feed my family
At first we were unsure since we did not realize the restaurant was in a mall and we were celebrating a graduation. BUT. Erin went ABOVE AND BEYOND for us. I would describe the food as boujee Olive Garden; but the waitress and service made it seem like a 5 star experience. Baked pastas were amazing! Chicken in the chicken parm CUT WITH A FORK ?
We go often but tonight was not good. They state they don't use OpenTable any longer. Rolls were actually cold and looked used. Food was 55 minutes from order to table. Our sons chocolate milk has so much chocolate it was gross. Bad night here.
this place is just sad compared to the Salem location. it had the feeling like it was on its last legs. they were out of standard items and the pizzas were soggy, missing toppings, and the salad was wilted and inedible. Sangria tasted good .
BEWARE: This restaurant does not accept reservations but has not pulled itself from Open Table. Makes for a rough evening when you expected to be able to eat hear, arrive and find out you are at the end of a long list of people waiting for a table. Didn't end up staying but I will say it looks like the sketchiest Bertucci's I have ever been to.
The good part - they honored our reservation. Last time we reserved here, they were actually closing. So, to be able to be seated on a Saturday night, with all other restaurants super busy, we were very happy. Beyond that, this Bertuccis really needs to be revamped. Their draft beers have not been working for years! And yet, they have a list from which one can order. And the server brought my husband a 12 once bottle of beer, without a glass, and charged him $7 for the bottle!!!! My glass of wine took 15 minutes; not sure why. Service has been unpredictable at this location. We've gone to the Nashua location, and service is spot on. But on this day, the server brought us bread and oil in a timely manner. No little plates, and one plate of oil for 6 people!!! I requested plates, and they never, ever arrived. I ordered a side salad and an appetizer for dinner, she did not get that at all. I got my salad first, and abut 20 minutes later, the food came. Fruit flies: even pre-pandemic this location has the worst case of flying insects wherever you eat. Most annoying, and making me skeeve, honestly. Years, and they haven't been able to clean this enough to get rid of the flies??? To end on a good note, the food seemed to still be good. But my party will not be coming back because of the other things above.
Visited this restaurant at the Mall of NH today for lunch. The hostess was unwelcoming. At quick glance, perhaps 10 other customers in the entire restaurant. I hadn't been to this location in 5 or more years and I immediately noticed the worn conditions throughout. We took a booth and were immediately waited on. The waitress brought rolls and they were obviously not from the oven. We pointed it out to the waitress only to be told that's how the cook on duty chose to prepare them. We ordered lunch and the waitress was totally disinterested in providing service. I heard a customer in the booth across from ours make the same observation about the rolls saying to her waitress that they were cold and doughy. That waitress said no problem and took them. When our waitress returned I politely asked if she could replace ours. She said nothing and abruptly grabbed the rolls, our plates and left our table. We put money on the table for the one soda we had and as we were walking out stopped by the host station to express our disappointment. The young man had no words other than to say, "oh well" with a smirk on his face. I respect all wait staff, especially during challenging times. But, we weren't at all demanding and the restaurant wasnt busy. Its as if the wait staff are all unhappy. I blame this experience more on apparent poor management. What a dumpy looking restaurant Bertuccis has become.

Food was alright. Unfortunately some menu errors, where onions are not listed in the chopped Italian salad but came with red onions. Our server was able to bring it back, but we also found some other onions mixed into the dressing. Wouldn't be an issue if it was listed on the menu.
My party got there on time & we went to the host saying we have a reservations for 6pm. The host said they don't take reservations, I said well I made one on OPENTABLE, she said they don't have tablets they can't see any of that information. I was puzzled. There was a lot of angry people around because they only had two on for wait staff meaning there was a lot of people in line waiting with lots of empty tables. Erin was a nice waitress but 100% overwhelmed. She didn't bus our table at all so it was a crazy stack of plates on the end of the table. She forgot to put in my husbands meal so we had to wait extra for that. The rolls use to be one of my favorites even for being a chain, but it's not the same anymore they have changed it. You could buy fresh pasta from the grocery store and make a better meal for way less money. They use to give huge American portions (leftovers to look forward to) and now they have cut back but not on the price. A thin flat tasting pizza is $17.99, Cheese only. I don't think we'll ever go back.
My girlfriend and I stopped here for drinks and some appetizers/lunch after shopping in the mall shortly after 12:20pm. We were seated at the bar by Cat, as we asked, and apparently Cat was also the bartender. And Waitress. And Hostess. The Sampler and wine were delicious, savory and garlicky ;), as we have come to expect from Bertucci's.The service, however, was SUBLIME! We were so impressed with Cat: she appeared to be the only person working there. She was also serving a few tables and made many drinks for other waiters' tables. She also popped over to the host station and dealt with people walking in and she was taking phone orders. Well, clearly, there was a lack of employees. There was a big ole j*** (in my opinion) who maybe thought she took too long to bring him his second drink, or something, and a manager had to come out and comp him and his adult child guest. We were just watching this all play out and couldn't believe the the insensitivity and insular behavior of this man- given that his guest was clearly Trans... Nice job, man!He ate his wing sampler and his Trans child boxed up Her Mac & Cheese and then they left. After calling the manager an Idiot. Nice... I ordered another wine and left Cat a nice tip.Staff shortage in restaraunts is real- it has not rebounded since the Covid lockdowns have eased. When you have good staff- KEEP THEM! Pay them more!I love Bertucci's, have been going since I was a college student in Boston, and they had Bocce ball courts, LOL.
Service was awful from the moment we walked in. Waited forever for our drinks after being told no white wine. Workers were just standing around doing nothing at front desk.Waited about 50 minutes for our food. Pizza arrived over cooked and my husbands calzone was literally cold and raw. Many tables were dirty…un-bus’sWe used to like Bertuccis but this was gross. Is anyone in charge there??
Server was amazing dealing with 2 different food allergies and making sure we could all enjoy our experience. They were out of a few wines but she made great suggestions.
