Ice cream was amazing as usual and servings almost too big to handle which is better than the alternative. I got a medium with mango and watermelon, both of which were fantastic and she got a peanut butter fudge with chocolate sprinkles. Not my cup of tea, but she assures me it is delicious.
Service was fast and came with a smile.
Probably not fair, but I marked down atmosphere only because I’m bitter about the fact I was attacked by mosquitoes that could have filled roles as pterodactyls on Jurassic Park.
Highly recommend and I will definitely go back. If you hadn’t had them, make sure you get their chicken tenders sometime.

My only complaint about golden rods is that they don’t carry honey mustard, besides that, read the rest of the comments, they’re great!

It is a great little diamond in the rough. It is a walk up counter service with seating area. I had the fresh fish sandwich and coke slaw. The fish was prepared in house. It was very fresh and good. It is a huge piece for $15. I thought it was a little pricey but worth it. The coke slaw was the sweeter type which I prefer. My friend got the chicken nuggets which were also house made and very juicy. It was a nice experience

Updated 10/22/24: this use to be the number one place to go but after a recent experience, we won’t be back! The prices are much higher which I get do to the economy but the portion size is unexpected! The large is like what the small use to me! The banana split is half the size! Never service with a smile! It’s sad to see this happen.

I ordered a Filet of Fish sandwich. It is the first item ever that I have not been satisfied with. I've been going to Goldenrod for years and always get great food. I think I ordered the wrong item. Possibly I should have ordered a Haddock sandwich. Therefore, there is no fault of Goldenrod. I'll go back and try again.
I really liked this place, very clean, and we ate good refreshing ice cream during the summer it was very very good, I highly recommend it. Every time I fly from Boston —> Manchester nh, I don't hesitate to stop to buy an ice cream ;)
