Madear's Southern Eatery And Bakery

We tried to go last night and they were closed.. like they looked closed closed. No sign on the door and nothing online indicating they were not open last night. Was a huge disappointment. Anyone know what’s going on ?

I absolutely love it here! They have such a wonderful staff and even better food. Everything is made fresh to order and is very tasty. Kyle also makes amazing desserts! I would highly recommend that you save room to try them. Or, follow wise words I've never forgotten, "Life is uncertain, eat dessert first!" Side note: BEST BRUSSEL SPROUTS EVER.

Great drinks, fantastic food; looking forward to checking out some of the live music - needed to add, the cakes! Don't sleep on the cakes, best cake I've ever had; was a chocolate red velvet with caramel. Absolute ??

Amazing food amazing service. when you go in ,you feel so comfortable. you feel like you’re part of the family. we love everything they have on the menu and can’t wait for the gator. The dessert is to die for. They have great shows on Tuesday nights too. Awesome food. Super people xoxo

The small shrimp plate was delicious but would have preferred more than 4 small shrimp. Did not care for the chicken on the green goddess salad. The hurricane cocktail and desserts were good. Casual atmosphere.

Great atmosphere, energy and food. You have to come here and experience this hidden gem.

This place a an absolute gem! every town should have one! The food is amazing, the drinks are amazing, the staff is amazing, the performers are amazing! TREAT CHO' SELF! Amazing service great shows great for

High drink & wine prices. Limited menu made more limited with several items not available. Very friendly. Braised green salad is very good. Small portions for small plates with fairly high prices. Unique choices

I went to Madear’s for the first time and it was fantastic! The staff was friendly and service was excellent. The food was excellent! I felt like I was in the Bayou!! The menu offers a wide selection of southern cuisine and the drinks are to die for!!I will definitely be coming back.

Short and simple. Didn't know this was an LGBTQ environment until we got inside. Owner was very nice. Waited a while for our food, wasn't too appetizing. Water was lukewarm. Appetizer overrode for 4 wings but tasty. Spoke with the owner for a long time which was good but the waitress came by twice..... not good. Dessert didn't meet our expectations but will stop by for laughs. Atmosphere was full life!

This is a fun, quirky, off the beaten path LGBTQ friendly, warm, shabby drag queen chic, southern comfort food style menu. It's laid back, welcoming staff are awesome, and we were there for the comedy drag entertainment show on Tuesday nights. Found street parking easily in little downtown Penacook. Surprised to see an almost time machine like business storefront 50s vibe. Reserved a table an hour before the show, ordered drinks and food. They served the small plates menu, so we ordered 3 dishes to share; the bbq pulled pork on homemade biscuit, this super ridic Mac n cheese, and the fried cat fish with tarter sauce and french fries. So, sooo yummy ?❤️ Absolutely coming back with more friends!
