3/5 Stars – Solid Food, Frustrating Service

We stopped in for a late breakfast around 10:35 AM on a weekday. The menu doesn’t list any hard cutoff for breakfast vs. lunch, so we assumed both were available. When I asked the waitress for a recommendation, she suggested pancakes or a BLT, but said she’d go check if they can make it now and came back and said no they weren’t serving lunch until 11. My son wanted a burger because he can’t eat eggs. Since it was 10:40, I pointed out it was only 20 minutes away and asked if we could wait and order. She said frustratedly, “Yes, you can sit here and wait until 11,” then said she’d come back at exactly 11:00. We reordered at 10:58; she said she’d “put the ticket in at 11:00 sharp.” While we waited I asked about if I could have one of the wonderful looking fresh out of the oven cranberry muffins to go, she said no, those were for later, and I’d have to take yesterday’s.

At 11:15 she reappeared to say they were out of lettuce—so much for the BLT. I switched to a burger. When the food did arrive was excellent: my husband called his Western omelet the best he’s ever had (and he orders them everywhere), and the burger was juicy and well-seasoned. The owner noticed the tension, apologized, and sent us home with two fresh muffins on the house, very classy move.

Bottom line: The kitchen clearly knows what it’s doing, and the owner bends over backward to make things right. The waitress, however, turned a 15-minute policy gap into a 45-minute ordeal with unnecessary attitude and rigid rule-policing. A simple “Breakfast starts at 11, but I can take your order now and as soon as we’re ready for lunch we’ll get it made” would have solved everything.

I’ve been coming here almost weekly for the past few months so it’s safe to say I’m obsessed. I usually order the Hash Bash (it’s my favorite), but my family rotates through the menu and everything is always great. Our server, Keri, is the best. She is always super friendly, quick, and genuinely personable. The place is small, so there can be a wait at times, but it’s totally worth it. And the kitchen pumps things out pretty fast, so the wait isn’t bad at all. Highly recommend!

We tried this place for breakfast Saturday (weekends they only serve breakfast). We were informed of a short wait and brought in as soon as a table was free. Our food was good as was the coffee, but what was really awesome was our waitress! She was definitely on her game, pleasant, quick, and juggling the tables expertly. We'll definitely return when we're in Manchester, hopefully on a weekday too so we can try the lunch options.

Loved getting breakfast here! I had the golden dream duo and would absolutely get it again any day. The potato pancakes are sublime, the hollandaise is beautifully flavored, and everything our group had was amazing. The atmosphere was cozy and exactly what I was looking for! Carrie was our waitress and she was quick, friendly, and very efficient. Genuinely a wonderful experience, I hope to come back on our next visit to Manchester!

Small portions for the prices, I got a omelet wasnt much egg the whole thing was very small and the homfries tasted bad.. ended up being 30 dollars. I tried other spots, came back to give them another chance got a full order of creaps, there where 3 of them wrapped up. Once again the meal was tiny and not filling at all. I deff wasted my money once again. The value and food quality here is sub par. 3 bucks for a coffee

Margie’s Dream Diner is absolutely amazing! The food instantly brought me back to my childhood every bite felt like comfort and nostalgia. Everything was cooked perfectly, full of flavor, and made with love. The atmosphere is warm and welcoming, and you can tell the staff truly cares about their customers. If you’re looking for a place that feels like home and serves incredible food, this is it! I can’t wait to come back.
