Not your parents Wild Rover.
There have been a lot of positive changes at this bar since Jesse bought it. If you’ve avoided it because of experiences in the past I will tell you that you should stop by and try it now. From things as simple as the new glassware to the menu to, and, particularly, the staff, it’s a totally different experience. For me it’s gone from the place I’d go on Thanksgiving and a couple of other times a year, not by choice but because the people I was hanging out with insisted to my neighborhood bar of choice, with the fact it’s an Irish Pub only better.. Jenn, Jesse, Ben, Aiden and the rest of the crew make it a place you’ll want to visit again and again. I highly recommend! As always, don’t forget to tip your bartenders!

The food here is SO GOOD! Pub food but with the best flare! The care into everything they put out from the kitchen shows! We got the snack board and WOW everything complimented each other, every part was a new taste, and it was all amazing! Don’t forget the bar staff is always attentive, nice and just overall makes you feel welcome! This is such a hidden gem in Manchester!

Ordered the Irish coffee. Took a bit to get but bartender made whipped cream by hand. Had bangers and mash, wife had shepherds pie, daughter had corned beef. Everything was off the chain good. Next time in town I'll be back. More than 5 stars for this place.

Love this place! It's a hidden gem off of elm street ! The vibes are amazing! Great spot for a get together, a date, and quite honestly any kind of occasion! In my opinion one of the best bars in Manchester hands down!

The Rover is all the way back and better than ever. I've worked this favorite back into the rotation but hadn't ordered any food until today. We just got a couple of small plates but they were really good. We ordered the cucumber with whipped feta and the homemade chips with dip (pretty sure it was French onion but it was homemade and excellent). Both exceeded expectations!. If you've never been or it's just been a while check it out! New ownership is doing an amazing job

Visited today after a 15 year hiatus. During that period there's been a change of ownership and chef. We're glad we returned. The atmosphere is the same, with a cozy bar in 1/2 of the building and a dining area in the other half. There are TVs on most of the walls, but they're not intrusive.

The menu is simple but adequate providing appetizers, small bites and Irish main courses. I had the bangers and mash which I found excellent, reminding me of the same I used to eat while living in Europe. It consisted of two sausages over a bed of creamy mashed potatoes with a tasty gravy. My partner had a daily special of smoked salmon that was prepared perfectly and served over a bed beans and butternut squash. To finish we shared a chocolate mousse which was fantastic.

Of course it's an Irish Pub, so there's an extensive list of beers and drinks. We will return sooner this time.
