This was our first (and probably last) time trying Yee Dynasty. I saw the low-star reviews but wanted to give them a fair shot since my husband and I just moved to Manchester from Goffstown. We’ve been making it a goal to try new local spots instead of driving back to Goffstown, so this was on our list.

Pickup process:
My husband said the order was ready when he got there, which is always a plus. But as soon as he walked in, he noticed a pretty unpleasant odor, something other reviewers mentioned too. His first thought was, “This is either going to be really bad or surprisingly good.”

Onto the food:
We ordered the J&M combination meals and a small crab rangoon. Not sure if the sauces are homemade, but if they are, they might need a little work (or we got an off batch). The duck sauce was super vinegary with no sweetness, and the hot mustard was way too watery to even try.

The fried rice was just okay, nothing special, but I don’t usually judge a place based on their rice. The lo mein was actually really good though; I prefer the flatter noodles, and these had a nice texture. The boneless spare ribs were also solid.

The spring rolls had a tasty filling, good cabbage flavor and seasoning. The wrapper was undercooked and doughy inside. If they were fried a little longer, they could’ve been great. Chicken fingers were fine but way too much breading for my taste.

My husband got the General Gau’s chicken, and it was disappointing. It wasn’t spicy at all. No Szechuan peppers and it tasted more like orange chicken. He doesn’t like super spicy food, but he said it was overly sweet and kind of bland. The pieces were also really big, so with all that breading and sauce, they got soggy fast.

Lastly, the crab rangoons were a miss. Basically just a mouthful of cream cheese with barely any crab. It’s hard to mess those up since imitation crab is inexpensive, but these just didn’t hit the mark.

I really wanted to like this place and was hoping the bad reviews were exaggerated, but unfortunately, they weren’t. I will say, it might be one of those spots where you have to know what to order since the lo mein and boneless spare ribs were the best parts of our meal.

I went in with someone who suggested going after not being there for over 10 years. I wasn’t really impressed. It looks like at night this place would be great atmosphere wise but the food was so bland. I don’t think I’ve ever had Chinese food I didn’t like until now. I don’t know how to describe it, everything was cold. The rice was over-cooked and was SO dark and wet??? It was completely empty yet the host sat someone RIGHT next to us. They weren’t too loud but it was a little distracting. I can tell this place was good back in the day but now I feel like their food is mid at best, I’m sorry.

Food poisoning.

Called and let them know what happened, and the woman told us we could be sick from anything we'd eaten over the last 3 days, and suggested we may have drank too much. My wife had one beer, and was up vomiting.
They clearly take food safety pretty lightly. Steer clear.

This is the place you're looking for if you want the best egg rolls in the state. The food here is fantastic. I've never sat down inside the restaurant, which is also a karaoke bar, instead always getting take out or delivery. Each time I've received my food it has been cooked to order, fresh, fantastic tasting, and very quick turn around. If ordering for yourself you'll spend between $12 and $20 before tax and tip. Their cheapest combination dinner plate is $10 and each one has 4 items instead of 3.

Worth the trip. And I'll update the review once I've sat inside the establishment for a night out.

This place is so sketchy and the service is lacking, but it's cheap and does the trick, especially later at night.

Finally found the Sesame Chicken in Manchester that I've been searching for since 2022! Scorpion bowl for one definitely had a sting too. They also have chilled glasses for draft beer, which is personally my favorite (and IDGAF if that makes me low class). Very interesting folks at the bar; you can tell this is a community watering hole where folks come to have a good time. What else could you possibly want from a neighborhood Chinese restaurant? Oh, did you say excellent service from a hilarious bartender named Matty? Well they have that too! Get on in here!

I came here with my friends, the server was rude as hell. She had no respect . When it came to paying she forced us to tip her, and told us not to eat here if we can’t tip. Red hair, glasses, fair skinned. The sesame chicken sauce was droopy, and the chicken didn’t taste like how it even should!

I have never in my life given a 1 star review, but the food from Yee dynasty was so terrible that if it was possible to give a negative review, I would.
