The hot dogs were mediocre at best, the "chili" was seasoned ketchup and the guy serving them was rude. I guess for the price what can you expect. Had high expectations but it just wasn't good.

Wow, what are people on that like this. Kinda sad lived in the area for 40 years pass by regularly and never stopped after an old school friend told me some things. Well, after seeing reviews and mention on best dogs in the state decided to stop in. We order two dogs one chili cheese one relish ketchup. We get a dry deadpan what will it be attitude with a sigh. My chili cheese dog was literally an Oscar Mayer wiener with half a slice of velveeta cheese no sight of chili. Upon first bite I notice underneath spicy ketchup with no hamburg just specs of tomato. Even Hormel would atleast bring this up two stars because I want to support this place and make it edible. Sadly, it was so bad I'm here leaving my first and only review on Yelp! This was so profoundly bad I can't think of one worst food in the 40 years of my life even Yen Yen year before it closed was better in quality. Let alone a "regular" there parked directly behind me needing to Mike Myers my way out of the situation to leave while he's gabbing away. Ambiance is a gas station parking lot where regulars can't park in parking spots correctly and block you in. If looking for a hot dog a 5 year old could make better in a microwave this is it!

Doug's Dogs! Just as simple, good and cheap as it has always been. My grammy used to bring me here, and then when I was older I'd walk my own butt up to Doug's with my friends. If you want a hot dog with all the expected fixings and some unexpected ones - you'll get it cheap here. They also have meatball subs and italian sausages. And both coke and pepsi and their own line of sodas. A Cheshire County institution. I loved it then, I love it now.
