Holy Cow, I just had the Seafood Chowder with some friends, and I must say, I am in ecstasy! A big bowl full of the creamiest, most seafood-packed chowder I've ever had. Even the potatoes were obviously fresh and cooked to perfection. And it was not too salty. Just perfect! I cannot say enough good things about it! Thank you!Parking: It is simple and easy.

We have been here several times, and each experience is nothing short of superior. A warm, welcoming environment, large portions, friendly and down to earth staff, phenomenal flavor combinations. Great service, friendly, helpful, pleasant. Our burgers were cooked perfectly and I highly recommend the truffle fries. Sadly I would not recommend the cheddar biscuits. I thought they would be like cheddar bay biscuits, but it was more like a bit of cheddar melted on hard tack. The pimento cheese was good. My fault for not reading the menu thoroughly.

The food was delicious, from the seafood chowder to the chopped salad. Our wait staff was friendly, helpful and made excellent recommendations. One of the specials on the night we were there was shrimp and grits. Perfection! The blood orange martini was so good, and the banana pudding with homemade ice cream was large enough to share and enjoy. The Smoking Trout is a lot of wonderful food carefully prepared in a warm environment.

Have enjoyed dining here since opening. It is a great local restaurant with a welcoming atmosphere. The menu is small with not much turnover but I think that adds to the quality. We have had most everything on the menu and enjoyed them all!! Great bar and also usually fresh oysters are available. Worth the short drive east of Keene on 101.

The Smoking Trout is a hidden gem. We recently had dinner there. Our appetizers were excellent (mussels and Brussel sprouts), almost a meal in themselves. Our entrees, salmon and steak, were nicely presented and were delicious. Our waitress was attentive to our requests. Overall, a very memorable experience.
