Hermit Woods Winery & Sweet Mercy Kitchen is a gem in the Lakes Region, offering unique and delicious wines crafted from local fruits, full of character. Many of the wines are dry, providing a very unique tasting experience, and all ingredients are from New England, mostly New Hampshire. The food from Sweet Mercy’s Kitchen is outstanding and beautifully paired with the wines. The Blueberry Apple Cider has an incredible blueberry flavor matched with velvety smooth drinkability. Live music nights are pure magic, contributing to a great atmosphere with warm staff and a perfect blend of flavor, creativity, and community. The staff is knowledgeable, friendly, and thoughtful, recommending wonderful wines and serving delicious sandwiches. While the wine tasting is a good experience, some found the wine servings a bit skimpy and noted the absence of chairs at the bar. There is a desire for more vegetarian and vegan options on the menu. The cider, while having excellent flavor, suffered from some off gas odor on one occasion. Overall, it's a must-visit location with wines worth trying.
