Great place all around! Allie took very good care of us, recommending wine that was wonderful to serving us delicious sandwiches. The wine was so good we had to take a few bottles home with us! We will be back and you should go too!
Thank you Allie for being such a nice and wonderful waitress!
Great food, wine, service, and atmosphere.
Great little spot to either taste some wines or have a beer! We had several of their snacks and they were delicious!
Our visit to this location was an excellent experience. We only went for a wine tasting, and it exceeded our expectations. As they make very clear, this location makes wine from fruits other than grapes - so they are a bit unique. And all the ingredients are from New England, mostly New Hampshire.
For my liking, the wines are solid, but not excellent. That being said, they are definitely worth a try. With other vineyards I have visited, fruit wine translates to sweet wine. This is not the case with Hermit Woods. Many of the wines we had were dry and provided a very unique tasting experience. The host of our experience was amazing and had a vast knowledge of everything about each wine as well as the history of the winery. He was extremely friendly and contributed greatly to the overall experience.
At the end of the tasting, we did get to sample some of their cider. I thought the flavor was excellent, but the variety we tried suffered from some off gas odor. As someone who has brewed their own cider, I am familiar with this effect. The scent can be off putting. I think some people don't notice it, but if you know it is there, it is hard to miss. That being said, I thought the flavor was good enough that I would be interested in trying some of their other ciders. I know some of it is available in the New Hampshire liquor stores, and I do plan on picking some up.
So, this review is just for the wine tasting experience. We did not try any of their food offerings.
Absolutely the best experience. My partner and I came in during a snowstorm in February and did a tasting with one of the owners. It made the entire trip! Delicious wine, kind staff and an unforgettable experience. My partner and I have now made a deal that if we ever drive through NH we HAVE to stop! If I could give 10 stars I would! A glowing experience!
Absolutely wonderful experience. My daughter and I went on the tour and experienced the wine tasting., sat on the patio for lunch and music. Everyone is so friendly. Will definitely go back. Thanks again for a wonderful wine experience.
My girlfriend and I went here a while back. We were just talking about it and then I realized I never left a review. We went skiing in New Hampshire stopped here on the way back during a snow storm. Did a wine tasting and the one of the owners helped us with our wine tasting. We were rookies in this game and he taught us plenty about wine like the different taste and what pairs with what and a lot on the aged wine. It was an overall fantastic experience and the wine was delicious. We would make it a a point to go here whenever we go up north again.
Great taste!

Just leaving a fantastic experience for a bachelorette dinner! We did a wonderful tour with Bob, who answered our many questions on the fruit wine making process. Josiah led us through a superb wine tasting at the bar, and Sweets the Chef served us exceptionally delicious food! Overall we were taken care of so well from start to finish and I cannot recommend this spot enough! Finished the evening buying some wine and cider to take home - will definitely be back!
Had lunch here yesterday. The menu is quite eclectic. The chef must be an artist. Great flatbread and deviled eggs as well as a variety of sandwiches. The wines are the star of the show however with Mary a grape to be drunk. Super fun place.
These wines were surprisingly delicious across the board. Josia was very knowledgeable and friendly.
Kind and attentive staff. Live music. Fruit wines with original flavors and tastes. Varied menu with local ingredients. The chef even came out to ask how the meal was.
We had the cucumber smash appetizer, dinner was beef and fish. Each flavored well and nicely presented.
Would visit again.
LOVE, LOVE, LOVE!! Amazing wines, incredibly knowledgeable, friendly service…can’t recommend enough! We’ve been members for over a year now & loyal patrons nearly since they opened!
