Our group toured with one of the founders, Bob, who was extremely knowledgeable and passionate about the process, vision, and establishment in general. Several from our group said it was one of the best wine tours they'd ever had.
The gentleman who poured the samples was equally knowledgeable and personable...truly a delightful experience - capped off by some ridiculously good sandwiches at Sweet Mercy Kitchen.
Hermit Woods is something special for sure. Cheers to a delightful afternoon!

Went there for the Valentine’s Day 3 course meal! Wow! Wow! WOW!!! Sweet Mercy’s Kitchen has done it again!! My husband and I don’t drink, and they were very accommodating as the 3 courses come with a wine pairing! I never thought cauliflower and white chocolate go together, but they really do!! I got the duck and it was cooked to PERFECTION!! Idk why people are sleeping on this place!! GO EAT THERE!!!!!

Great experience overall but its a wonderful place to go for a trivia night with friends. Food and drink are top notch. The cost matched the food and drink, which matters a lot nowadays.

Had an awesome night out here with my beautiful wife! The vibe was refined but relaxed and we quickly settled in with a glass of "Hermitage" - a "true terroir" created from blended local berry wines that, combined, made for a surprisingly dry and complex taste that superbly complimented our spiced chicken wings. Our entrees of chicken and short ribs highlighted Sweet's kitchen creativity and the "Red Scare", a strangely dry red melomel, perfectly complimented fatty short ribs. Why it took us so long to come here is a mystery. It won't take us long to come back.

We came here for a wine tasting, which was fantastic! The wines were very good and the price was very reasonable. I was so impressed with the wine and service that we decided to stay for dinner. That ended up being another great choice. The food was tremendous! I will absolutely be visiting again next time I am in the area, and I would recommend you do the same!

What a great stop on our personal wine tour evert December. My buddy and me and our spouses come to New Hampshire this first weekend and Hermits was on our list this year. Please make this a stop on your winery list. The wine tasting was amazing and our guide was Josiah. He was amazing and knowledgeable of the wines and has the perfect personality to walk you thru the excellent wines on the list. Ask him about the Red Scare. Oh yeah, check that off as one of your selections. I don't think you'll be disappointed.

This was our first visit to the area and decided to give this place a try. I had never had wine that was not made with grapes before this experience. I loved their beautiful wines and appreciated the knowledgeable person telling us about the wine we tried. Thank you!! (I’m disappointed they don’t ship to Michigan - or I would have joined their wine club. However, we managed to get two bottles home unscathed in our suitcase for our flight home!)
Great winery and restaurant where all the wines are made from fruits other than grapes. I had a glass of the petite blue which is like a Pinot noir with a strong note of blueberries (as it’s made from blueberries). I was also shown around their wine making operation which was really interesting. The evening menu looked delicious. Sadly when I came back for dinner, they had a sold out jazz evening. If I’m ever back this way I would definitely stop in.

My now wife and I traveled to the area for our honeymoon in September and decided to do a wine tasting. We absolutely loved this place! Everyone was so welcoming and knowledgable about the wines. When they learned we were there celebrating our recent marriage, they gave us a complementary glass of sparkling wine and offered us a private winery tour! We had the nicest time and can't wait to return for an anniversary visit.

Had an amazing time here! Learned so much, the staff was wonderful and knowledgeable and you can tell they all really love Hermit Woods Winery. We did a tasting and then came back later to have some wine and listen to live music on the patio. Absolutely recommend!!

Based on the food alone this should’ve been a 5 star review. However, due to the service, or lack of and the way were treated when I pointed out we were overcharged then it’s one star and that’s very generous. Took forever to take our order and the wine arrived about a minute before our food. When I ask to pay the bill I was just brought over the machine. Was a bit annoyed, but didn’t want it to ruin our night. But after I stupidly paid without checking I asked what I’d actually paid for. They’d charged me for 3 mains, not 2. Then the same server who took our order said “are you sure you only had two?” Not exactly the response I was expecting. The manager was useless. He had to get the chef to sort out our bill. Manager didn’t even offer an apology and tried to avoid us before we left. I then asked for my tip to be refunded as the way I had been treated was so bad. The chef very kindly gave us the meal for free as an apology. My husband did tell the manager that he should’ve sorted it out and not have to get the chef to do it.
