Went here with my father, the cafe was near empty. Running the place was short staffed with what looked like depressed 16 year olds as waiters. I ordered the Orange Juice as a drink, it took about 10 minutes for it to come out warm, tasting like tomato juice. I thought it was fine until a couple behind us started talking about how they waited 30 minutes for 1 grilled cheese sandwich, and it came out burnt. However, the atmosphere is pretty nice. But unfortunately, I won't be coming here again.

Waited an hour and 20 min for food while being told constantly that it would be right out. Food was not good ether by the time we finally got it. Listen to the reviews. Also got told If take out gets ordered they go first before dine in guests.

Delicious breakfast with eggs, toast and potatoes and a fresh made smoothie. Perfect little cafe in the hotel.

Do not go here period. Terrible service. Burnt coffee. Tiny grill if they aren't busy prepare to wait at least 45 minutes for fried eggs.

Visited the Waterfall Cafe this morning and had a very pleasant experience. We were the first ones there at around 7:45am and chose a beautiful window seat overlooking the lake and the waterfall.I had a sausage and spinach omelette with toast and breakfast potatoes. It was very good. The bottomless coffee was as expected, nothing fancy you might get from a boutique coffee shop in NYC, and likely Folgers, but it did the trick for my morning caffeine buzz. Our server was very polite and friendly. She sat us right away and brought the food out very quickly. We were one of three tables, it was a weekday, and the place is quite small, so there was only one server, but she did a great job.Overall, the negative reviews seem to be from Covid understaffing issues and crowded tourism. I didn’t experience any of the negative things listed in the reviews and I will definitely be back for more cozy coffees overlooking the water.

Didn’t want to come here because of the reviews but wanted a drink with breakfast to start the day of birthday celebrations. Fortunately for them it was the only spot open on Monday that served drinks (sadly only mimosas and no bloodys)Fortunately for me, their service and food has improved apparently!!The eggs Benny were great, home fries also seasoned wonderfully. The upcharge for bacon isn’t worth it but service was lovely, benches by the windows are great for some sun and the views I suppose.Small menu, hopefully they will expand but give this place a chance if you don’t have your mind set on anything in particular.

My family and I thought this was a lovely place. We were welcomed by the staff to sit where we'd like, and we took a window seat where we got a nice view of the waterfall. After looking over the simple menu, they took our orders very quickly and were very helpful with accommodating to our toddler. The wait for the food was as expected for a quiet morning, it was pretty quick. The food was very, very tasty. We got the eggs Benedict and the 2 eggs-bacon-hash browns-toast meal. Both were bursting with flavor and cooked perfectly. My one small complaint is the ultra-thin bacon, which tasted fine but was just..well..small. Overall a very cozy, friendly, and relaxing diner great for a tasty breakfast.

I felt compelled to write a review because we were concerned before going here for breakfast due to all the negative reviews but our most recent experience was very positive...and people tend to only post negative reviews. So here goes...food was hot and tasty for our family. Kids enjoyed their pancakes and omelets were good. Menu could certainly be expanded in the future and there are areas for improvement but overall we were pleased. Not sure why the reviews are so bad but they are not consistent with our recent experience here. Staff was very friendly, we were seated right away and food came out relatively quickly. No complaints.

Very satisfied with the visit here! I read some reviews before and they discouraged me from trying the waterfall cafe but I was shocked! The service was amazing, food came fast with a amazing atmosphere, I would definitely recommend checking it out!

Worst experience I've had at a restaurant. Paid for food and left without it. Sat for 50 min waiting for breakfast. Had to leave and when asked if food was made and if so could we have Togo boxes because we had to leave the young girl and chef started yelling and swearing at each other. It left us so uncomfortable we had to walk out. Myself being in culinary I can't tell you how the food was because we did not receive it but the hospitality and atmosphere was so mediocre. FYI order the large juice maybe it will be in a nice jar and not a small jelly jar.

Underwhelming, disappointing. I came here for breakfast over the weekend. Where to start? PRE-COOKED BACON! yep. They took pre-cook bacon, slapped it on the grill. It literally crumbles to dust when you pick it up. DICED and likely PRE COOKED potato cubes, again thrown on the grill and overly seasoned to cover up that #10 can taste. The hollandaise sauce is also made from a packet and has no flavor. You'd think a breakfast spot connected to one of the most expensive hotels in Meredith would serve fresh food (I mean come on, real bacon and fresh cut potatoes are basic in any establishment.) My advice- spend the extra 5 minutes to walk out of this building and go to one of a handful of other breakfast spots in downtown Meredith. Do not reccomend.

Came in the winter over a holiday weekend, so might be our fault or bad timing. We sat quickly and got coffee almost right away. We then waited an hour for food, and we're not alone! We heard many tables around us complaining and threatening to leave. Do not come if you're in a hurry. If you have time, the food is great classic breakfast with an amazing view!

Stay far away from this dump! Waited 30 plus min. for the worst breakfast I have ever had. Eggs were dry and over cooked. Not sure what the side served with it even was. It looked like Rice A Roni mixed with dry potatoes. Bacon was absolutely inedible. I did not read the reviews and should have as all the comments were so correct when describing unacceptable food not to mention horrible service. Waitress delivered the food and then said you can pay at the register when you are done. Could not find her to complain how bad it was. This place use to have great food not sure what has happened but it needs to improve drastically or close. Breakfast food is not that complicated!

The potatoes that came with our breakfast sandwiches smelled intensely of ammonia and were clearly rotten. The friendly server and food preparer seemed uncertain of what to do and said there had been other complaints. Be careful!

Stay away from this place. We waited for 30 min for a simple order of scrambled eggs and French toast. I was going to offer my help to make it. Finally, the food arrived, burned, tasteless, French toast left a strange aftertaste in my mouth that lingered even after I brushed my teeth. My fault of not checking reviews. Terrible experience. The choice of background music is awful: you do not play loud, upbeat, cheerful classical music when you make your customers wait for that long, especially contemporary classical music which is an acquired taste even for musicians.
