Tomahawk Butchery & Tavern

Chef brought the food out himself - it was wonderful! However, we went on a Sunday evening, made a reservation, and service was slow, even when it was half empty. Great food; unsure if our order was forgotten to be put in or it's just that slow. I would probably not bring kids if we went again. Butcher shopp seemed great and loved the atmosphere and food otherwise! We went before taking the kids bowling, but spent two hours when it could have been 1-1.5 or less.

Showed up and there was good live music outside, I was just going to the butcher since they are open very late. Cut was perfect, service was speedy and I was in and out.

The steaks have been consistently great here for the past 2 years. Side dishes and appetizers are great. Good selection of Wine/beer. Great staff.

I ordered the Haddock with rice and green beans. I always make sure my seafood is wild caught, no farm raised. Was good and hot with a group of 9 peeps. It's heading in cut, so used GPS.

First time dining at the Tomahawk last night and we had a wonderful dining experience. Definitely a low key-chill vibe which was awesome. Rene, our server, was welcoming, friendly, and attentive.
The food was hot, delicious, and plentiful. I had the Fried Clams on Special and my wife had the Haddock.
Oh and high praises for their unique “chips/french fries”. Wicked good!
Can’t wait to go back and have some steak!!

Amazing tasty steaks, cooked to perfection and so tender they melt in your mouth- best we've had! The French fries are to die for - ask for a double order! Their unique shape makes them fry up just perfect. The service was so wonderful, our waitress Ashley was so friendly and attentive. The ambience was perfect for a family dinner or a romantic date. Tall private booths, standard tables & chairs, or high top tables with stools - your choice. Some booths had televisions in them in case you didn't want to watch the big screens around the room. Beautiful bar area with lots of beer and wines. The restaurant has an attached deli store with delicious steaks to take home, or Boar's Head meats, and lots of goodies. We highly recommend that you visit. We can't wait to go back!!

We utilized Tomahawk Tavern’s catering services for our sons’ graduation party. They were reasonably priced, the set up went smoothly, and everyone LOVED the food! Thank you!!!!

We went on a Tuesday, hoping to get their nightly special of 2 for 1 lobster rolls. We were late and unfortunately they sold out. But our second choice sandwiches were excellent! I had the steak special, which was served on a nice soft roll. The steak had an excellent char. Great sweet potato fries too. My daughter had the Reuben. They make their own corned beef, which was also excellent. Glad we tried their beef. Service was friendly and fast. First time visiting. We will be back.

Background music is nice but when the music takes over a conversation it's not. Heavy dance club music with great speakers does not make a conducive environment for a great meal which we did have. When the music was a little bit gentler it definitely was a great environment. Fries were a little overcooked but no worries. Our server could have checked on us a little bit more as we felt she was overwhelmed but when she did take care of us she did well. Burgers were cooked almost to our liking but we will definitely be back. It was a special treat to have shepherd's pie egg rolls, that was amazing. Small imperfections that can easily be improved for a great afternoon dining experience.

These people work their asses and it shows. Food is absolutely incredible EVERY TIME, NEVER A BAD EXPERIENCE. God bless this place.

Had the pleasure of meeting Aaliyah while dining for lunch. She shared some her favorites which were delicious, she was knowledgeable, passionate about what she does and genuinly kind. Your new friends from Hudson and Connecticut.
