Feeling reminiscent of grandma and grandpa? Come on down to the diner that revives every memory you ever had with them....at least the ones where they took you out to eat. I ordered a Baked Scallop special. I was disappointed when they arrived to see Calico Scallops, which I never would have ordered had the Special Board said Florida or Calico Scallops. I didn't say anything and tried them. They weren't what I expected but tasted good. So fairness dictates 4 stars but I still think the menu board should have warned me they were warm water Scallops not tender sweet local shellfish.
When we arrived and were seated, I had pretty low expectations. The place looks like a really basic diner. The kids menus were laminated and my daughter was given nothing to color with, which I thought was really strange for a place that describes themselves as a family restaurant. There are televisions everywhere and they're turned to the news. Definitely not my preference at all.
