Looking for a great spot to take you back to the prohibition era, This is the place. One of the best speakeasy style restaurant in the area.

This is the most amazing unique expierence I have ever been a part of. Who would have thought Nashua was home to a modern day speak easy? I love love love it here!!!! So much I went twice I a row!!! The food absolutely phenomenal and the service alone is enough to make anyone come back over and over. If you are looking for a unique expierence and want to impress someone or maybe a group of people, definitely take them down to Codex. 10000/10 Highly reccomend you check this place out.The secret enterence, the inconspicuous vibe and the thrill of stepping back in time to the prohibition era. Wow! I'm floored with how amazing it is. I love it!! And right in Nashua! Who would have thought?!Check it out. You will not regret it.

Cool atmosphere and fun concept, but mediocre overpriced drinks somewhat ruin the experience.

Went for a second time and took friends with us. Super busy but employees went out of their way to accommodate everyone. They were exceptional! Food and drinks were great too. Definitely give them a try.

They really know how to make some classic cocktails. This place is very enjoyable.

Sadly, these folks just don’t know how to make good cocktails. Add to that the manager telling us that they were short staffed because they recently cut the “dead wood” and only kept the staff on because they needed them through the busy season. This as we had just sat down at the bar and were the only ones in the building. My husband, being a bartender for many years at a high end establishment, was chatting with the bartender and manager. They had absolutely no knowledge of spirits or cocktails. We were very uncomfortable listening to this “manager” bash her staff within 2 minutes of us sitting down.

Well well well worth the wait. Nice atmosphere, great service, and incredible food and drinks. They were short staffed, but we were well informed prior to ordering and were in no way disappointed. The staff was upbeat, apologetic and made the wait worthwhile. The old school ambience is homey and welcoming, we could've forgotten to go home. The food was beyond worth it, the mouth watering short ribs fell off the bone; chips, dips, truffle fries and poutine were decadent. I could live here, sleep here and die here. I will definitely frequent this spot, when I have the evening to spend. Not to mention the bar "stools" are super cozy, and you have the alternative of chilling on a couch with an abundance of outdated literature that may tickle your fancy ? our bartender Victor was the BEST

Yikes! Bad choice! When the door was opened for us, the young man said we had to wait and quickly closed the door, but in those few seconds, I was able to peer inside and it was loud and obnoxious, wall to wall people all dressed in costume. It appeared like some kind of party was going on inside. There was another group of 4 that entered behind us, laughing and loud, so we turned and left. First impression was this was not a place for us to quietly enjoy a sophisticated drink. Ended up down the street at The Pearl. It was perfect! Excellent cocktail, and a much better choice. First impression of Codex was dumpy, loud, local dive bar for younger crowd. We won't return, but may have found our new goto at The Pearl.
