We went to the place and the cashier had a long face. We were looking at the empanadillas to see what was available my husband asked if that was the only ones available because there was not much and the cashier just looked and rolled her eyes and ny husband asked again and she just moved her head saying yes. So he asked is there is something else and she said sandwhiches, so I ordered 2 empanadillas of steak and cheese. Then my husband ordered another one before being charged and she looked at him mad. When we paid she turned her back on us. Will not go there again old owner had really nice people and cheerful but this one only has people with no emphaty or happiness. Awful service.

Delicious empanadas. The beef taco and buffalo chicken are my favorites.

The food was not good. This food did not taste like Puerto Rican food. The mofongo did not taste good and what was supposed to be chicharrones was just fried pork. The tripleta sandwich it's so not worth it. I would never buy food from there again .

I recently visited Empanellie’s and was absolutely blown away by the quality of the food and the warmth of the service. This small, locally-owned spot is a true gem, and I’m so glad I discovered it. The moment I walked in, I was greeted with a friendly smile and the wonderful aroma of freshly baked empanadas.
The menu offers a wide variety of empanada flavors, both savory and sweet. I tried several, including the beef and cheese, chicken with cilantro, and the spinach and feta—and every single one was delicious. The crust was perfectly golden and flaky, and the fillings were flavorful, well-seasoned, and satisfying. I also appreciated that each empanada was clearly labeled, which made it easy to keep track of what I was trying.
For dessert, I had the guava and cream cheese empanada, and it was absolutely heavenly. Sweet but not overly sugary, with a perfect balance of flavors. I also tried their iced coffee, which was smooth and refreshing.
What really made the experience special was how personal it felt. The owner clearly takes pride in the food and makes you feel like a valued guest. I can’t wait to come back and try more varieties. Highly recommended!
For a quick weeknight dinner, I stopped by Empanellie’s. While browsing the menu, I decided to try the jibarito - a sandwich made with flattened plantains instead of bread, filled with lettuce, tomato, and a choice of protein ($14). I picked the euphemistically named “steak,” which turned out to be ground beef that wasn’t even well-browned.
The combination of lettuce, tomato, and simply seasoned ground beef tasted a bit too much like a Crunchwrap Supreme. Fresher and twice the size, sure - but still within that same flavor palette.
Even the fried green plantains, which should’ve added some texture, had steamed into mild sogginess from the foil wrap, despite me ordering it for dine-in.
Maybe I’ll try the Cubano or the empanadas next time. The jibarito was fine, but definitely overhyped here and on Google Reviews.
Great experience here today! My husband loved his sandwich and I enjoyed my chicken empanadas. Would frequent here if weren’t from out of town!
Not what I expected this the worst mofongo I ever had,the price and the size of the portion no way this is not Puertorican food

Busy, but delicious empenada's and the special was so good, plenty of options.
I enjoy coming to get a empanada but sometimes they have a variety of them like a pepperoni or something crazy I’m all for it because all I ever used to have was cheese and meat def recommend cause they got many options
Great food. Little pricey. Friendly employees
They offer variety of empanadas, including dessert-type. We tried one stuffed with pastelon and it was very good. We also tried an alcapurria stuffed with pork and rice and it was filling and delicious, Not greasy.

Always ready with a display of every empanada you could think of. And recently they added a buffet which is choice. Great prices and cool atmosphere if you want to chill or if you want to get in and out on the go.
