I take my 4 year old here whenever I need an excuse to get ice cream, but I've been a patron since I was about the same age. Homemade ice cream, the best fries in town, always friendly and quick service from the staff regardless of how busy it is. We love Haywards.
I never really stop at ice cream shops, but wanted to give them a chance. I did not regret it lol, especially how big their ice cream scoops were, it took me some time to finish lol, I have to try the other flavors cause so far I only did vanilla (no added sugar one which didnt think ice cream places had that option) and orea. Waffle comb was very yummy as well.
Note: place gets super crowded, with due reason, but they have multiple spots where to pick up so...

Fantastic ice cream even had option for diabetic kids and adults. Service at window polite with order correct. Very important with diabetic child. Thank you.
