Stopped in for lunch during the week - two other patrons in the bar when we arrived. Bartender was very attentive and friendly, good selection of local beers ($8/glass) but disappointed that they only served pizza for lunch. Ordered some slices, was clearly reheated and average tasting at best. 4.5 stars for beer selection and service, 2.5 for pzza. You can go buy food in store and bring into pub.
Generally good, but considering it's a pub within WITHIN a grocery store and they have no food to serve is very disconcerting. I would guess this no longer fits the Amazon model and will be closed within a year.
It's always a little weird to walk through Whole Foods to go to a bar, but the tap list at J. Bartlett's is genuinely one of the best in Southern NH. They feature several dozen beers on draft, most of them from local brewers, and while they do have the typical abundance of hoppy IPAs they also have things like pilsner, helles, porters, and stouts, enough to make up a few different flights of non-IPAs.
