Last Saturday, I decided to take my husband and children out for dinner after hearing about this place trending on Facebook. Intrigued by a documentary I had watched on NH Chronicles, I felt compelled to try it with my family. The restaurant's reputation for exceptional food convinced me to order their famous thieb for my boys and myself, while my husband opted for their delicious poulet yassa. To satisfy our sweet tooth, we couldn't resist trying their West African keylime cake, including their special gluten-free and dairy-free option, which turned out to be incredibly delicious. During our visit, I noticed the owner, who I assume was in the kitchen, took the time to come out and chat with us. She was a very nice and humble woman, and her daughter, who seemed to be around the same age as our boys, was also present. The owner's helper was equally pleasant and attentive. Overall, our experience was fantastic. The only suggestion I have is for them to consider having high top chairs for babies, but apart from that, we thoroughly enjoyed the ambiance, the food, and the background music.

The food is amazing and the owner is so nice and knowledgeable. We attended a taste of Africa event over a year ago and she remembered us! We buy their Mola spices too and use them a lot in our cooking. Highly recommend!

I actually eat at this restaurant a couple of times a week. The food is always delicious and it has taught me to expand my choices in cuisine. Very comfortable, very clean. Warm friendly people. I usually take something from the grab and go to take home for dinner. Don’t forget to try the Hibiscus drinks. Janette makes them in the restaurant. You will want to bring home a 6 pack of Hibiscus.

If you are looking for some great African cuisine in Nashua NH, I highly recommend this restaurant. My girlfriends and I stopped there because we wanted to experience something new. Upon entering, the owner created us and gave us some delicious soup while we waited for our food. We were served some rice called thieb or jollof with fish. We also tried their west African keylime cake. The flavors combination were amazing.

Wowowow!! I decided to order a platter of Jal’s ceebu jen for a culture day event at my school extremely last minute, but the owner was very understanding and made a platter for me anyway!! The food was soso good, especially the fish; I was reminded of my aunt’s cooking! I will definitely be buying from Jal’s again!! Don’t miss out on this place!!
