I live in Maine about 2 and a half hours away from this place and I’m trying to work out a way that I can go here regularly—even if it means I move to Nashua. Seriously though- the people who work here are incredibly nice- super amazing vibes- the customers also have super amazing vibes- the ambiance is super chill . I’d 100% recommend anyone to stop by and check it out and get some KAVA while you’re at it :)

I recently discovered The Root Awakening and have been consistently impressed by its welcoming atmosphere. The patrons are friendly, making it easy to strike up a conversation and feel at home.

A standout for me is Alex, the kava tender. His charming smile and upbeat attitude make every visit enjoyable. The owner, Greg, sources his kava from a reputable vendor, and the prices are fair—especially considering the quality you receive; it truly feels like a bargain.

Johnny is another highlight; his knowledge of kava, its history, and effects adds a rich layer to the experience. All the staff are wonderful, and even in the few months I've been coming here, it feels like a second home.

The bar hosts great events, including live music on Saturdays and trivia on Wednesdays. Recently, I attended a healing night featuring a massage therapist and spiritual activities, which was a unique and enriching experience.

I’m excited for the upcoming location in Worcester, which will be conveniently located for me. Thank you to everyone at The Root Awakening for the fantastic service!

Kava is such an incredible experience and I'm so grateful to Root Awakening for bringing it to New England! They are truly the best in the business. The vibes here are light, relaxed, and its so communal. I love how creative the kavatenders are, they make great drinks with many different varieties. They are attentive & super friendly! I've been coming here for years and they have only gotten better with adding event nights like Trivia, healing night and live music! As someone who doesn't consume alcohol, I feel extremely blessed to have a place I can go to for a real good time, and get rooted!

Been coming here for years. The service is always so friendly. Johnnie especially; the staff is always so patient and knowledgeable about Kava. I had a lot of questions at first, and it was wonderful to learn about the Kava root.

I discovered Root Awakening at the beginning of 2024, and have been a regular customer since. Greg, Amy, Johnny, Dan, Zack and Stacey are friendly, welcoming and knowledgeable about their products. Between the staff and customers, it feels like a big family. As a non-drinker, my friends and I now have a place to come unwind, catch up and hang out. The bar has an Island vibe, and it feels like a mini vacation every time I visit. I love this place!
