As someone who is gluten sensitive, I’m thrilled with the delicious gluten “light” options. I wouldn’t recommend them for those with Celiac based on a shared kitchen space, but for someone who is sensitive, Blue Loon has delicious options. The staff is very friendly with lots of comfortable size inclusive seating making for a great weekend morning.

I stopped here today @ 1:45, they close at 2:00pm. We were going to buy an already made sandwich, we asked if it could be warmed, were told no kitchen is closed. Okay, we then asked for a croissant, could it be warmed, again no, kitchen’s closed. I’m sorry, but if your open til 2 why do you close the kitchen or microwave before 2 ???? Seemed like a lovely place, ate our croissant standing up & left, quickly as to not want to be an inconvenience.

Very rude!! I traveled over an hour to meet a friend at this local coffee shop when we were rudely asked to leave after an hour. Both myself and the other party ordered coffee and a pastry item. Additionally there were other parties who were seated before we got there and were not asked to leave. I was shocked by this level of disrespect this older women working at this time displayed. Do not plan on coming here for anything more than an overpriced quick bite!

Stopped by this bakery on our way to Vermont and I'm so glad we did. Their GF cranberry muffin was the best muffin I've ever had in my life. Their sourdough bread was also spectacular. Strongly recommend!

I visited this bakery for the first time while meeting a friend halfway between our homes to catch up over coffee. We each drove an hour to get here, excited to enjoy a local spot in New London together. We both ordered iced lattes and pastries, but our order was mistakenly made as hot lattes. I politely requested an iced latte, and what I received was lukewarm with melted ice. Not ideal, but I drank it without complaint.

After about an hour, an older staff member approached us and said, “You’ve been sitting here for 'several hours'. Are you purchasing anything else? If not, I’ll have to ask you to leave now. We need the space for the lunch rush. If you’re looking for a place to study, there’s a library down the street.” Looking around, the bakery was far from busy, with plenty of open tables. We had originally thought about ordering lunch, but after this rude encounter, we decided to leave. We did not feel welcome.

What made it worse was noticing two older women nearby who had been sitting at a table since before we arrived. Why were we asked to leave and they were not? As we packed up, we overheard the staff member gossiping about us, “I told those teenagers to leave already.” This experience felt discriminatory and unwelcoming. Sadly, I won’t be returning.

Lots of deliciousness between baked sweets, sandwiches, and salads.
Transformed old house setting, bakery/kitchen in the back, with view window for watching operations.
Outdoor seating with a garden atmosphere.

This place is very popular and it's easy to see why when you have their food and coffees. If you don't see a line, run don't walk because the line will grow really quickly.

I got the egg press, and it was absolutely delicious. Simple but everything comes together very well. Good value for $9. Love me some Cabot cheese.

We sat outside, which was pretty nice. Plenty of seating inside too.
