I stopped by Grounds a few times while staying in New London. It has a relaxed and rather quaint atmosphere—a typical college town coffee shop—and serves reasonably priced coffees, including espresso drinks, and light breakfast. I had a great bagel, which was delicious, and a very good latte, perhaps the best I had in New London. The only negative was that the service was a bit mixed: my experience with one person was fantastic and welcoming; another was quite unfriendly to the point of making me not feel valued as a customer.

Came in during my break for a donut after seeing donuts on Google. When asked if they had donuts, the older woman working behind the counter looked at me like I had 3 heads and answered with a very rude and short, “No.”
As for the muffin, it was okay. Nothing to write home about. Doubtful I’ll ever come back here.

Great little bakery with lots of goodies. They have lots of different drink combinations both hot and cold, and a large variety of baked goods. Also all throughout the bakery there are local goods for sale such as artwork, handmade cards, earrings, etc. Prices very reasonable. Will go there any chance I get!
