Underwhelming. The food was fine but overpriced and could have been much better prepared. Wine list was similarly underwhelming. Sides of oversalted mashed potato. Requested the wilted greens which included raw kale and overcooked chard. Asked for a replacement and an identical dish came back. It was not removed from the bill. >$400 for two people drinks, 2 x steaks, 2x sides and shared dessert. There are restaurants in downtown Boston where you can have much better quality food and wine for the same price. Steaks were reasonably well cooked to order but striploin did not receive much color and was fairly grey on the outside. Service was good. Setting is good.

We just love this place — such an idyllic spot. The Inn itself is beautiful (though we haven’t stayed overnight), and the Oak Room restaurant is truly something special. The dining room and atmosphere are wonderful, the food is some of the very best in the area, and we had an outstanding service experience with our waitress. Highly recommend.

My husband and I found the Oak Room with a simple Google search, hoping to find something new in New London. The reviews were positive so we thought we’d give it a try.
The meal we enjoyed was hands down the best dining experience outside of New York or Chicago that we’ve enjoyed lately. My husband and I both had the Black and Bleu Martini, which was delicious, followed by the charcuterie plate. Hats off to the chef for pairing the NY strip & tenderloin steaks with a variety of sauces to enjoy with our meal. It was absolutely delicious. We enjoyed the asparagus as a side, and honestly, I could show up and just get the asparagus and a piece of chicken and we’d be happy— it was just that good.
Thank you for the delightful meal this evening— we will be back!

Everything was great! The food was outstanding. I got the chicken my partner got the hanger steak. The chimichurri sauce was phenomenal with the chicken. The Potato Au Gratin was SO GOOD TOO!!! They even had a gluten-free cornbread substitution as a bread option. They make real espresso for their espresso martinis! Such a rarity these days. The atmosphere was so warm and comforting on the lake. It's positioned outside of the downtown of New London so you get out of town deep woods feeling. It's a homie inn, it's rustic, but everything's updated and modern.

An all-around wonderful dining experience at The Oak Room NH in New London, NH for my guys Birthday, from the kind greetings from Sam when we arrived to the absolute super attentive service from our waitress Emily, couldn't be any happier. Started with some warm foccacia and a charcuterie board. For the entree, we shared the bone in pork chop with truffle mashed, mushrooms, and caramelized parsnips. Everything was flavored, perfect, and the pork was cooked perfectly. We will absolutely visit again in the future for any of our special occasions.

Highly recommend Oak & Grain. It is located at the vicinity of New London.Most of the dishes are exceptional. We had lamb rack, duck breast, mushroom and chocolate cake. Duck breast is a must try at this restaurant and it was one of the best duck dishes I had.Great service with great view. If you are near this place, it would be worth to check out this place.
