An all-around wonderful dining experience at The Oak Room NH in New London, NH for my guys Birthday, from the kind greetings from Sam when we arrived to the absolute super attentive service from our waitress Emily, couldn't be any happier. Started with some warm foccacia and a charcuterie board. For the entree, we shared the bone in pork chop with truffle mashed, mushrooms, and caramelized parsnips. Everything was flavored, perfect, and the pork was cooked perfectly. We will absolutely visit again in the future for any of our special occasions.

We dined here after a long day of snowboarding and it was a perfect way to end the evening. Our server Coleen was wonderful and made our experience special by giving plenty of recommendations based on our location. The food was divine and we look forward to coming back!
The tenderloin steak with black truffle butter was cooked to perfection. Service provided by Martina was excellent!!

Haven't been here since it was remodeled and it looks fantastic and is quiet so one can carry on a conversation with another without raising your voice!

Highly recommend Oak & Grain. It is located at the vicinity of New London. Most of the dishes are exceptional. We had lamb rack, duck breast, mushroom and chocolate cake. Duck breast is a must try at this restaurant and it was one of the best duck dishes I had.Great service with great view. If you are near this place, it would be worth to check out this place.

I was really pleased with our dinner experience here! Our waitress was great. The food & drinks were wonderful as well! We both had a wine & cocktail. Really enjoyed the cheese plate too. We had the the monkfish & chicken as entrees. Only small critique is the wait in between courses but the environment etc is pleasing enough to temper any longer than desired waits.

Cocktails - Food - Service were all on point- I had the special Fried Oyster app and the double cut lamb chops- awesome choices
We were delighted with our dinner at Oak and Grain. The dining room is evocative of the history of this beautiful inn. The wait staff is excellent and informed on the offerings. We had the scallops, a special for the evening, which were accompanied by corn, mushrooms and squash purée in red wine Demi glace sauce. It was a delicious entree. For dessert we chose the flourless chocolate torte with marshmallow and strawberry topping. Yum! So happy we had our dinner here. Definitely the place to eat in New London.

Excellent food, quality, and service. Just a wonderful experience all around. All locally sourced farm fresh ingredients and an attentive staff.
We had dinner here for our anniversary and it was a comedy of errors. My first glass of wine arrived with two dead flies floating in it. What should have been a Happy Anniversary card said Happy Birthday. Then we waited 40 minutes after ordering only to be told by our embarrassed server that their computer had crashed and they lost our entire order. The food and service were both good, not great but good, and not good enough to forgive some really bad management.

food portions are very small for the amount of $$$ it costs but the place it very pretty
My wife & I stayed at the Inn a few nights. We had previously enjoyed a Sunday Supper here a few years ago. Dinner here our first night in was wonderful. We partook in the Prix Fixe dinner and enjoyed. My wife particularly wanted to try an appetizer that was not on the prix fixe menu and they allowed us to add that to our order. The drinks were well made. Our Waitress/Server was well trained, very nice & accommodating, but obviously very busy with lots of tables. The runner(s) and manager assisted to provide good service for a great meal. The kitchen was backed up with a large party that ordered ahead of us but they kept us informed and occupied. We were in no hurry so it didn't really matter. When the food came out it was delicious. I even discovered I liked Shishito peppers!
Outstanding, locally sourced food. Delicious appetizers and mains. Small but well chosen cocktails and wine. Lovely setting and friendly service. Linger and enjoy the lake view. The mushroom appetizer (alight, delicious) was so good I booked a second meal there. The duck was very good but the lamb was even better.
