This place blows my mind every time. The food is great, the service is spectacular, and they go above and beyond to make an occasion extra special.Dietary restrictions: Superb attention paid to allergies and food restrictions, loads of gluten free options.

Food was excellent - service was off. We were there for a bday celebration, felt ignored and had to wait to order and to receive drinks when only 2 other tables in restaurant! Not our usual experience there!

We have dined here when it was the coach house but tonight was our first time since the change to The Elms and it was fantastic. Every single thing we ate was delicious. We will be back!

We arrived on time having reservations. While standing there, another couple walked up and were seated before us. Most peculiar. The food was dreadful. I had duck confit which the waitress recommended. It was old, dried up and nearly impossible to cut. One piece of mushroom was so tough I couldn't cut it at all. My wife ate the salmon which, too, was old and fishy tasting. This was our third and final attempt to eat here. There won't be a fourth.

There was a very loud group of people next to us and they were exseively loud. This really diminished the entire dining experience for us.

At a handsome wood-grained table near the warm gas fireplace, we greatly enjoyed drinks and dinner with friends in a well-renovated dining room and bar full of conversation. The gentle buzz in the room augmented the warm ambiance and with the attentive service, drinks were served from a wine list bearing many good choices...and I had a scotch in a beautiful glass! The single page menu offers an abundance of options to match individual taste and appetites, with appetizers, starters, and entrees from a range of a full steak dinner to soup and salad. The diversity of items and flavors is quite nice, as I struggled with choosing a simple delicious loaded burger after a fresh Caesar salad or the local specials of the evening, including New England beet soup, but settlled on a a crock of French onion soup to start, followed by steamed mussels and truffle fries I was glad to share. My dinner was delicious, as were the others who enjoyed the pot pie and scallop entrees, after their Caesar salad and steamed vegetable on home made hummus starters. Maybe we just hit it right, as I have read the other reviews, but it seems that this new chef and restaurant team really knows what they are doing, and they quietly and pleasantly deliver. Yes, dining out is more expensive these days, but if you are ready for a charming New England dinner, this one is a great choice. Though waiting at the nice bar for a bit would be nice if necessary, be sure to get a reservation, at least on weekends, and enjoy.

The last time I ate there about 3 weeks ago I went home hungry. The Caesar salad had way too much very watery tasteless dressing. The Mac and cheese was totally inedible. The sauce was like milk poured over the spaghetti. The bread was good and the server was very nice. Guess they could use a new chef.
