Had a party for 22 people upstairs, it was fantastic. The service and food was great. Marcy and her team knocked it out of the park for us. Thank you!!

Two floors, great food and atmosphere. Staff was attentive & friendly without being intrusive. It's nice to have a restaurant that can both accommodate meeting up with friends and a date night. I forgot to take a picture of my food so I only have a random picture showing where I sat 😁

What a gem! We recently ate at The Riverworks when we were in town for my daughter's college graduation. The owners and staff were friendly, accommodating, and attentive. We were a party of 6 and everyone loved their food and drinks. I highly recommend The Riverworks and can't wait to go back again when we are in the area.

I moved here 11 years ago and my first of many wonderful meals at the Riverworks. I especially liked the beer battered chicken fingers. But something has changed in the batter and I had them last night, 3/17/25 and they're not as good. Please return to the other recipe. But you are a favorite restaurant. Suellen Leugers

We have been to Riverworks a few times since moving full time to Newmarket. It is a perfect walk to the restaurant for us, so we can enjoy a Guinness or two. ( Guinness is poured perfectly) Usually busy, but in a fun festive way. Scott and Marcy are very welcoming and we really enjoy the layout of the restaurant. We have sampled a few menu items, most recently the Nashville hot chicken sandwich and it did not disappoint.
For those looking for a downtown treat in Newmarket, check it out.

Always try to visit Riverworks when in the area. Stopped in today for mid afternoon lunch. Crowd was thinning out and we grabbed 2 seats at the bar. Had the Chefs version of a Cubano using a pulled vs sliced pork meat. I really enjoyed it, found it flavorful and on great sour dough bread. Always a welcoming vibe and the owners (who have been on site and fully engaged in the trenches) make you feel like old friends. It’s a gem among gems in Newmarket. Give them a try, interesting menu.

My wife and I are recent transplants to the delightful town of Newmarket, from another state. From the day we first saw our new home, closed and began the moving process, Riverworks has been our go-to for delicious, seasonally changing, interesting and generously portioned meals. It’s a constant struggle of “should we try someplace new” vs a known spectacular entity. Which then leads to, “should I try something new on the menu”
or get the amazing fish & chips or French dip. Luckily you can’t go wrong. From the moment you arrive to smiling faces welcoming you and offering a variety of charming & cozy spaces to sit, to the first sip of unique and again seasonal cocktails to rolling out with a full belly
. It never disappoints.

as you peruse reviews, take a moment to search a contributors review history before taking any one to heart. Often you’ll find someone who simply can’t be pleased and often only publicly reviews when they are dissatisfied. It’s much easier to anonymously shame rather than offer constructive criticism to the owners in person.

Let's just say if you're looking for a spot with a good interior atmosphere this is worth a try. If you want food, look elsewhere. 3/4 meals were mid-level quality. The fish and chips had one of the worst Cole slaws I have ever tasted. The burned ends were barely edible. The barrio tacos were bland and dipping sauce was a tasteless mustard style. But.... Cool interior for a beer.

The chicken fingers are the best in the area and are worth going out of your way for.
Marked down atmosphere because of the very narrow width of the tables.

I really want to love this place but it is a hit or a miss.
I stopped by twice in a week. Ordered the same thing and the dish- the holy F fries were inconsistent. The first time I ordered it, it was amazing and aesthetically pleasing. So much flavor, lots of aioli and the goat cheese tempura was light and airy. My follow up was a sadder blander version. Even the photos truly show how inconsistent the food is.
Additionally the entrees have been a miss. First visit the seared cod was grossly over cooked- it was dry and burnt. The grain served with it was over seasoned in an unpleasant manner. We let our server know and it was graciously taken off the bill as it was inedible.

This visit my friend got the carbonara- first look I was shocked they used something that appeared to be ramen noodles. They were thin and squiggly- ok fine. The portion was that for a small child. The guiancale was hard- crispy and we saw evident traces of egg and it needed salt. The chocolate mousse was not a mousse and I was sad because we got the apple crisp cheese cake on the previous visit and it was such a home run that the chocolate mousse lacked flavor and it was too airy.
I am sad as I am a local resident for 4 years and I don’t think I can return anytime soon. The kitchen and the staff need to be refocused.

Riverworks has always been great after coming here for the last few years. The new, fall menu is a great change up. Can't wait to get back and try the rest. Right now its easily the most varied/interesting menu in town. The birria tacos were amazing (Although I found myself lost in the birria sauce and running out by the third taco lol). Looking forward to trying the ravioli after seeing someone else order it.

The beer battered tenders here are incredible. The sauces offered are all great but our favorite is the mango habanero.. It's hard not to resist ordering these every time we go. Great sweet potato fries as well.

Always attentive staff and relaxed atmosphere with great drinks. The mocktails are nothing to sleep on either. The spicy paloma is our jam when we're not feeling boozie.
